STUDENT STRIKE 101 🪧

On April 23, we’re calling on ALL STUDENTS to make their voice heard as we hold the student strike vote! This is an opportunity to make it clear that these changes to OSAP and our education WILL NOT STAND!

It’s Your Time To Vote 🗳️

From now until April 17th at 5:00PM, you decide who leads your Student Union.

Note from your CRO:

➡️ Ballots may take some time to arrive in everyone’s inbox. If you don’t see yours right at 9:00AM, don’t panic. Give it a little time and check again. Every
eligible voter will receive their ballot in their OCAD Student email.

➡️ Please contact [email protected], if you have not received your ballot by 12PM on April 14.

➡️ If you are a Mature, Part Time, or Graduate student, you may receive more than one email.

This election is not just about filling positions. It is about what we are willing to defend.

Bill 33 threatens:
• The student fees that fund your food bank, health plan, and student services
• Equity pathways for Indigenous, Black, and disabled students
• Your Student Union’s ability to advocate on your behalf

In 2019, we challenged the Ford government’s Student Choice Initiative in court. That fight continues. The leaders we elect today will be on the front lines of that fight.

So vote. Not because you have to. Because your voice belongs in this fight.
