Splash Travelling Swim School is growing, and we’re looking for enthusiastic instructors to join our team!

🌊 Primary Location:
Keswick Pool Location

🌊 Bonus Asset:
Availability to teach mobile lessons at backyard pools throughout York Region, South Simcoe, and surrounding areas.

Prerequisites:
✔ National Lifeguard (NLS)
✔ Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification
✔ Current Standard First Aid & CPR
✔ Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp, or other relevant instructional experience preferred

We’re looking for instructors who:
💦 Love working with children
💦 Are energetic, positive, and reliable
💦 Enjoy teaching through connection, creativity, and play
💦 Want to make a real difference in a child’s confidence and relationship with the water

At Splash, we believe great instructors are developed, not just certified. Our onboarding process is comprehensive, hands-on, and fully paid. We provide extensive training, mentorship, lesson planning support, and ongoing coaching to help instructors grow into exceptional teachers.

Our program is built around child-led learning, play-based teaching, and creating swimmers who genuinely love the water.

Hi Splash Fam, my name is Caitlyn! 👋

This will be my second summer with Splash and my third year teaching, and I couldn’t be more excited to be back! I feel so lucky to have been a Splash student for many years, and now getting to continue my journey as an instructor feels really full circle.

Ever since I was little, I’ve always loved being in the water. Whether it’s at my cottage, in my backyard pool, or from my time as a competitive swimmer, swimming has always been such a big part of my life, and I can’t wait to share that passion with my swimmers this summer.

I’ve always loved working with kids and helping them feel comfortable and confident in the water. I’m known for being very patient, and I naturally adjust my approach when something isn’t clicking so each swimmer can learn in a way that works best for them. I really believe in child-led learning, and I love creating a positive, supportive environment where kids feel safe to try, grow, and build confidence at their own pace.

My love for helping others extends beyond the pool. I also work as a math and science tutor throughout the year, and last summer I had the opportunity to travel through Europe as part of an English studies program, which was such an incredible experience.

In my free time, you can find me at the cottage, spending time outdoors, going for walks, cooking, or at the gym. I also love a good girls’ night with my friends!

I’m counting down the days until we’re back in the pool together and I feel so lucky to be part of the Splash team this summer 🩵

Hi! I’m Isabella 💙

This will be my second summer teaching with Splash, and I’m so excited to be back in the water with such an amazing team. Last summer, I primarily taught at our Keswick location, and I also travel to families across Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, and surrounding areas.

I’ve always loved working with kids and helping them feel comfortable and confident in the water. I’m known for being patient, easygoing, and approachable, and I find that swimmers tend to warm up to me quickly. Creating a calm, positive environment where kids feel safe to try new things is really important to me, and I love seeing their confidence grow with each lesson.

One of my favourite parts of teaching is building those connections and watching swimmers become more independent and proud of what they can do. Whether it’s a small win or a big breakthrough, those moments are what make teaching so rewarding.

Outside of the pool, I stay very active and play competitive volleyball, along with going to the gym and spending time outdoors on walks. I also love painting and being creative whenever I can. I’m currently working towards my goal of becoming a social worker, as I’ve always had a strong passion for helping others.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me spending time with friends and family, staying active, or doing something creative.

I can’t wait to be back for another great summer and meet all of our amazing swimmers 💙

Hi! My name is Megan 💧

This will be my third summer teaching with Splash, and it’s something I truly look forward to every year. Before becoming an instructor, I spent many years as a Splash student myself, so being part of the team now feels really special and full circle.

I’ve always loved working with kids and helping them build confidence in the water. I’m known for being patient, encouraging, energetic, and positive in my lessons. Safety is always my top priority, and I work hard to create an environment where swimmers feel supported, comfortable, and ready to try new skills.

One of my favourite parts of teaching is watching kids grow more confident with each lesson and seeing them come out of their shells. I love making lessons exciting, fun, and engaging so swimmers stay motivated while learning important water skills.

Parents often tell me they appreciate how easy I am to talk to and how positive the lessons feel. I always try to bring good energy to the pool and create a fun, supportive environment for both swimmers and their families.

Outside of the pool, you’ll probably find me at the cottage, spending time with my dog, or enjoying time with friends and family. I’m also currently studying at university, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Marketing.

I can’t wait to start lessons again this summer and meet all the amazing swimmers! 💙

💦 Meet the Splash Team: Rylee 💦

Hi! My name is Rylee 👋

This will be my fourth summer teaching with Splash, and being part of this team truly means so much to me. Before I was an instructor, I was actually a Splash student for many years, so coming back as a teacher feels very full circle.

I’ve always had a passion for helping and teaching kids of all ages, especially when it comes to helping them feel comfortable, confident, and excited in the water. One of my favourite parts of teaching is really getting to know each swimmer. I love tuning into their personalities and learning styles so I know when to gently push and when to pause, often before they even realize they’re ready for that next step.

Splash has introduced me to so many amazing students and families, and I truly look forward to coming back each season to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Being part of this team has given me a whole new love for teaching, swimming, building connections, and constantly learning.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me outdoors. I love spending time with my family and friends, hanging out with my puppies, travelling, or enjoying time at the cottage. I really love being in the water whether that’s teaching in the pool, swimming in the lake, beach days, or spending time in the ocean on vacation.

I also love dancing. I’ve danced competitively for most of my life and recently joined my school’s dance team, which has been such a fun experience.

One of my favourite memories as a Splash instructor happened after a lesson when a parent sent me a video of her daughter teaching her little brother all the skills and games we had worked on that day. She told her mom that when she grows up, she wants to be a swim instructor too. Seeing how much confidence she had gained in just a few lessons and knowing I played a small role in that meant everything to me.

Helping kids grow, feel proud of themselves, and love the water is always my biggest goal, and I’m so grateful I get to do that with Splash 💙

We’ll be sharing instructor spotlights over the next few weeks.

Hi, I’m Courtney 🌊✨

I’ve been part of the Splash family for a very long time. I officially joined as a certified instructor in 2015, but my journey with Splash started well before that.

Before teaching, I volunteered as an assistant instructor, and before that, I was a long-time Splash student myself. I’ve truly grown up with the program, and I love being able to support swimmers through every stage of their learning.

I was also one of Splash’s very first host locations, opening my pool to families who didn’t have access to one of their own. Over the years, I’ve welcomed countless children into the water and had the joy of helping them build confidence, skills, and a genuine love for swimming 💙

I’m known for having a calm, approachable, and friendly presence, and I love working with swimmers of all ages. Helping kids feel safe, seen, and excited in the water is one of my favourite parts of teaching.

Outside of the pool, I’m a full-time interior designer. When I’m not working, I’m usually drawing, painting, or spending time at the cottage, with a swimsuit never too far away. I might have traded fins for floor plans, but let’s be honest… once a mermaid, always a mermaid 🧜‍♀️✨ I love recharging in the waters of my cottage in the Muskokas whenever I can.

I’m so excited to be back with Splash this summer, teaching evenings from 5:30–9:00 PM at both mobile pools and the Keswick outdoor heated saltwater location ☀️🏊‍♀️ Teaching during the summer truly fills my bucket, and I’m grateful to be back in the water from June through August.
