As part of my commitment to ensuring accountability, learning, and continuous improvement within the Mentorship Program I initiated, I appointed a 5-member Monitoring and Evaluation Committee drawn from the Oku Youth Organizations Network (OYON) to assess the progress and impact of the initiative.
The committee engaged mentors across the various mentorship tracks, collected beneficiary data, and submitted a report to me. I am pleased to share with the Oku community and friends of Oku some of the results achieved so far.
The figures presented in the graphic below reflect the growing impact of our collective efforts in agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, career development, leadership, and international opportunities.
I invite you to review the summary and celebrate the achievements of our youths, women, mentors, and partners who continue to make this vision a reality.

In continuation of the land rites, the Mntïy (hailstone rites) of Mbele was successfully carried out this evening.
In accordance with our tradition, tomorrow is automatically declared a non-farming day throughout Oku. Touching the soil on this sacred day is considered a desecration of the land. The soil is not supposed to be tilled in whatever manner or form throughout the entire Fondom.
As we observe these sacred rites, we pray to God Almighty through our much venerated god “Mnkong Mote”, to bless the land with peace, fertility and a bountiful harvest this year.

His Majesty the Fon of Oku convened and chaired a meeting today at the Oku Palace to address the unfortunate incident that occurred in Febweh, Din- Noni Subdivision. In attendance were the Chief of Chak village and his delegation alongside representatives from Din sent by the Fon of Din.
It was established that the situation was a minor misunderstanding between a few individuals not a conflict as portrayed on social media. After fruitful discussions, all parties agreed to continue respecting one another as has always been the tradition. It was also reaffirmed that Oku and Din share no boundary disputes and have no reason for conflict, as we are brothers.
We remain one people and must not allow any external influence to divide us. Several resolutions were reached and the official minutes will be made available in the coming days.
