DTI PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON PHILIPPINE FOOD IN GUANGZHOU F2C FAIR

September 26, Guangzhou - Eight (8) Philippine companies are being featured through the collaboration of the Department of Trade and Industry's DTI Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou), at the annual Food2China (F2C) Trade Fair happening at the Canton Fair Complex.

Fruits of Life (coconut water); Gem Foods International (Buenas-branded processed food); Lionheart Farms (organic coconut flower sap products); Mira's Food and Agriventures (brews and health teas); See's International Food (premium banana chips); Sonya Garcia's Secret Cottage and Restaurant (ready-to-eat food specialties); Yan Yan International Philippines (beverages, cookies, chocolates and savory snacks); and Year Luck Food and Industrial Coproration (ice cream cones, powdered vegetables) are showcasing their food and beverage products before trade buyers and importers in this trade fair annually supported by the Guangdong Imported Food Association (GDIFA) and the China Council for the Promotion of Industry and Trade - Guangzhou (CCPIT-Guangzhou)

Other countries and areas being featured at this year's Food2China Trade Fair international section are Turkiye, Russia, Spain, Viet Nam, and the EU which is ongoing from September 26-28.

The Export Marketing Bureau is the agency that oversees the development, promotion, and monitoring of Philippine exports.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou is the trade and investment promotion arm of the country which holds office in the southern part of China. PTIC Guangzhou is the commercial office of the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary and Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) Managing Head Dr. Ceferino S. Rodolfo addressed around 150 high-tech enterprises and attendees during the 22nd CAEXPO AI Unicorns Networking Night held at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Nanning City last September 18.

Undersecretary Rodolfo who was the keynote speaker for the event called for deeper partnerships and closer AI industry collaboration between ASEAN countries and China, and emphasized that as the region steps into the AI era, it should "create an ecosystem of innovation that is not only prosperous, but also trusted, inclusive, and resilient."

The 22nd CAEXPO AI Unicorns Night was organized by the China-ASEAN (CAEXPO) Expo Secretariat, the Guangxi Industrial Park Reform and Development Office and the Guangxi Big Data Development Bureau.

DTI USEC LEADS OPENING OF CAEXPO 2025 PHILIPPINE PAVILION

[September 7, Nanning, China] - DTI Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona led ceremonies to formally open the Philippine Pavilion at the 22nd China-ASEAN EXPO happening at the Nanning International and Convention and Exhibition Centre (NICEC) from September 17-21.

The DTI Undersecretary was joined by Vice Chairperson of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Madame Liu Yongmei, Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime FlorCruz, Philippine Consul General to Guangzhou Iric Cruz Arribas, Department of Agriculture Assistant Secretary U-Nichols Manalo, officials from the Office of the Agriculture Counsellor in Beijing, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou).

12 Philippine companies from food and non-food sectors are representing the Philippines at the Commodity Pavilion located at Zone D, Gall 12 Level 2 of the NICEC.

The Philippine Commodity Pavilion at the CAEXPO was supported by the Office of the DTI Secretary, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc (FFCCCII), PHILEXPORT , Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions CITEM and PTIC Guangzhou.

DTI USEC LANTAYONA VISITS PH PERMANENT DISPLAY IN NANNING

[September 16, Nanning, China] - DTI Undersecetary for DTI Regional Operations Group Blesila Lantayona joins Philippine exporters during a visit to the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange (CAMEX) in Nanning, where a permanent display of products is featured via a Philippine Pavilion which is open all-year round.

Undersecretary Lantayona is leading the Philippine delegation this year at the 22nd China-ASEAN Exposition (CAEXPO) which runs on September 17-21 at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC).

(September 9, Xiamen) Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime FlorCruz along with officials from the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center Guangzhou, receives prospective Fujian investors during the second day of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) which is running from Septrmber 8-11 at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center.

DTI GUANGZHOU WOOS XIAMEN ENTERPRISES TO INVEST IN PH

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou) enjoined Chinese enterprises to invest in the fast-growing economy of the Philippines during an "Overseas Expansion in Southeast Asia" Conference organized last September 7 by the Xiamen Jimei District.

The conference happened on the sidelines of the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), an annual business networking platform that enabled representatives from various business organizations such as the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII); Philippine Xiamen Amity Association Inc; Philippine Hokkien Chamber of Commerce; and the China-Philippines Chamber of Commerce; to meet with counterparts from China and the rest of the world during multiple conferences, exhibitions, business matching sessions and other events.

This year's Philippine CIFIT participation including the country booth at Hall A6-606 of the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center (XICEC) was co-organized by Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen and PTIC Guangzhou.

Gracing the opening ceremonies were Philippine Ambassador Jaime FlorCruz, and Philippine Consul General in Xiamen Winston Dean Almeda.

PTIC Guangzhou is the Philippines' Department of Trade and Industry office in the southern part of China which covers Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hainan, Jiangxi as well as Fujian Province where the key cities of Xiamen, Fuzhou, and Zhangzhou are located.

The 25th CIFIT runs at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center (XICEC) and in other key Xiamen locations until September 11.

HAPPENING NOW - Philippine Coffee producers -- Bote Central Inc; Coffee for Peace; Merlo Agricultural Corporation; Project Beans Trading; and Verra Coffee Inc. -- are now in Haikou City to participate in the 1st Hainan International Coffee Conference. The two-day conference will involve various fora, sampling, cupping and networking sessions. The Philippine participation in this Hainan Coffee event was made possible through the Guangdong Imported Food Association, the DTI Export Marketing Bureau and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou.

Makati City, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry through the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and its Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC) welcomed a Dongguan Economic and Trade Delegation which embarked on a three-day business mission to the Philippines to “strengthen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.”

The Dongguan business delegation builds on earlier business missions spearheaded by the DTI and PEZA, through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou) last March and May, which opened avenues for Chinese enterprises exploring economic opportunities including trade exchanges and offshore manufacturing in the Philippines.

Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) President Enunina V. Mangio and high level PCCI officials receive a 27-member Dongguan Economic and Trade Mission Delegation last August 19. The three-day business visit to the Philippines by the Dongguan business delegation was arranged by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou.
