THREE DECADES OF SERVICE HONORED AT DTI GUANGZHOU

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Guangzhou, the Department of Trade and Industry's commercial office in southern China, presented a special plaque of recognition to Deng Zhi Hong (Ms. Anna Deng) in honor of her three decades of dedicated service.

The award was presented by Mr. Vince Lorenzo Liwanag, incoming Commercial Attaché of PTIC Guangzhou, and Mr. Froilan Pamintuan, outgoing Commercial Attaché.

Ms. Deng joined PTIC Guangzhou in 1996 as a Trade Assistant and was the pioneering staff who helped establish the office in southern China. She currently serves as Senior Trade and Investment Consultant.

PTIC Guangzhou and the DTI family extend their sincere appreciation to Ms. Deng for her unwavering dedication and valuable contributions over the past 30 years, and look forward to more years of fruitful collaboration with her, to help strengthen Philippine-China business relations.

16 July 2025, Guangzhou -- Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Secretary General Ruben Pascual (rightmost) affixes his signature in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade - Guangdong at ceremonies held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Joining Secretary General Pascual are other national chamber top officials from Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).

CCPIT Guangdong Sub-Council promotes Guangdong’s foreign trade, bilateral investment and economic-technical cooperation. PH IS CAEXPO 2026 COUNTRY OF HONOR; GEARS UP FOR STRONG COUNTRY PARTICIPATION THIS SEPTEMBER

The China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Secretariat, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou) gathered last May 21 representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) DTI Foreign Trade Service Corps; the Provincial Government of Cebu, the Chinese Embassy in Manila, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry(PCCI), the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCI), the Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA), associations, business groups, and exporters to formally kick off the Philippines' participation in the upcoming China-ASEAN Expo, slated for September 17–21, 2026.

Attending the Philippines CAEXPO Country of Honor Launch in Manila were DTI Undersecretary Ceferino S. Rodolfo, Governor Pamela Baricuatro of Cebu Province, Chinese Embassy Commercial Counsellor Yang Guoliang, CITEM Executive Director Leah Ocampo, CAEXPO Deputy Secretary General Cheng Gong, PTIC Guangzhou’s Froilan Pamintuan, and Chairman Bebe Zhao of the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange (CAMEX).

The Philippines is CAEXPO's Country of Honor this year, only the second time in the 23-year history of this annual event held in Nanning.

The Philippine delegation is expected to participate through the Philippine Commodity Pavilion, the Philippine National Pavilion where Cebu will be the "Province of Charm", the Philippine CAEXPO Investment Seminar, the China-ASEAN Young Leaders' Growth Program, and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), among other related events.

A coordination meeting headed by DTI Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona, ED Ocampo and CAEXPO Secretariat’s Deputy Secretary General Cheng was also arranged on May 22 to discuss details of the Philippine participation with representatives from the Board of Investments (BOI), the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Tourism (DOT), the Province of Cebu, PYEA, and other government agencies in attendance.

PTIC Guangzhou, Xiamen ICC and PCG Xiamen partner for business session with Jimei groups and enterprises

XIAMEN, 17 March 2026 -- The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou (PTIC Guangzhou) in partnership with the Jimei International Cooperation Center (ICC) and the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen, organized "A Philippine Session on Overseas Investment for Jimei Enterprises"

The session which was attended by Jimei ICC members and affiliate organizations was keynoted by Philippine Consul General Winston Dean Almeda; and Jimei Mayor Jie Ni.

Sharing their insights during the business briefing session were Froilan Pamintuan, Vice Consul (Commercial) of PTIC Guangzhou; Clifford Academia, Vice-President & Head of Industrial and Commercial Business Unit, Aboitiz Economic Estates; and Shanlin Huang, Senior Manager of the lnternational Cooperation Center of Jimei District (ICC).

Paul Zhang, Head of the Global Business Division of Metropolitan Bank (China) Ltd.; Vicky Wei of Subic Bay based Jinbowei Technology Co.,Ltd.; and Ms. Lei Zheng also shared their experiences in doing business with the Philippines.

The Jimei event was capped by an MOU signing between the ICC and Aboitiz.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou is the commercial arm of the Philippines' Department of Trade and Industry in the southern part of China. The promotion of the Philippines as an investment destination is one of its key thrusts, apart from helping provide market access to Philippine exporters into southern China.

ICC which was established in 2023, as approved by the Jimei government. Its main objective is to provide one-stop services and a global network to facilitate cross-border cooperation for enterprises, and build Jimei into an international hub and bridge for going global.
