“Naging isang ina sa murang edad, namatayan ng pangalawang anak sa panahon ng pandemic, nadapa at ngayon ay unti unting bumabangon kasama ang 4Ps. Pagsubok ay isang rekado ng buhay na hindi mawawala ngunit mas lalong nagpapatatag ng samahan at nagpapalalim ng ugnayan ng isang pamilya para manatiling buo at hindi kailanman mawawasak” claimed by Marita B. Diano, 4Ps beneficiary of Barangay Baay, Bagulin, La Union as she proudly tell her stories of endeavors and achievements and through hard work, perseverance, and determination, a 4Ps beneficiary was able to improve her family’s life by becoming a small vendor. Her journey wasn’t easy, but every sacrifice became a stepping stone.

As a young mother under the 4Ps , she chose resilience over surrender, proving that success is not defined by age or circumstance, but by courage, determination, and the dream of giving her child a better future, she wants to express her gratitude to the program and all the partner agencies who supports them in their endeavors thus embraces them as part of them in their success, and hopes that her story just like any other 4Ps success story will motivate and inspire others to achieve their dreams in life.

✨ 4Ps SUCCESS STORY: Empowered, Resilient, and Inspiring ✨

Nestled in the upland landscapes of Barangay Dagup, Bagulin, La Union, a remarkable story of transformation has unfolded. Meet Cecilia Cajalne Camaro—has lived by the motto that helping others without expecting anything in return is fulfillment. In fact, she hopes to inspire others to do the same as well. As she believed on accelerating action, gender equality and inclusion. Putting all things and actions into passion and serving the humanity is a great fulfillment in life.

Cecilia is a complete package that resembles the unique qualities of a “Juana Malakas” She is a beacon of hope to her fellow women and a woman of ethnicity thus promoting the core value and rich culture of the Kankana-ey community of the Municipality of Bagulin. Despite of the catastrophic event in her life, she still proved that she is resilient as she raised her children as a solo parent. She believed that it is imperative to uphold the well- being of her children despite of this life situation.

With this Cecilia is now a role model of a “Women of Change” as she became an agent of change that can challenge gender stereotypes and traditional roles, paving way for a greater representation of women leadership, innovation, resiliency and wide perspective.
