On February 18, 2025 took place the traditional greeting of the President of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to the Heads of Mission and their spouses.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of Cuba commemorated 32 years of diplomatic relations on May 26, 2024. A relationship which is an expression of solidarity, friendship, business interaction and respect for the chosen development path of our respective countries.

Long live the bonds of Friendship!!

On May 23, H.E Ellsworth John, Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the Republic of Cuba, signed the book of condolences at the official Residence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Havana, Cuba. Ambassador Ellsworth John also delivered a note of condolence from the Hon. Keisal Peters, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, to H.E Seyed Mohammad Hadi Sobhani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the regrettable events that led to the death of H.E. Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, the Honourable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other distinguished authorities and citizens of the country.

On May 7, 2024. H.E. Mrs. Sharon Milagro Marshall, Ambassador of Barbados to the Republic of Cuba, paid a courtesy visit on H.E. Ellsworth John at the Embassy. She was accompanied by Ms. Michelle Gibbons, Attaché at the Embassy of Barbados. Mrs. Sharon Milagro Marshall was warmly welcomed to the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by H. E. Ambassador Ellsworth John and Minister Counsellor Mrs. Charmane Tappin-John. During the visit Ambassador John welcomed Ambassador Marshall to Cuba and in his capacity as Chairman of the CARICOM Diplomatic Corps, he briefed the new Ambassador on the work of the CARICOM Corps in Cuba. They also discussed potential areas for collaboration, shared insights and explored opportunities for mutual growth.

Today, April 18 ,2024 H.E. Sr. Theodore N. Tsakiris, The Ambassador of Greece to the Republic of Cuba paid a courtesy visit on H.E Ellsworth John at the Embassy. During the visit they discussed matters related to tourism and trade, signaling their interest and commitment to collaboration and pledging to continue the deepening of relations between the two countries.

Today, March 25, 2024 H.E. Mrs. Joanna Kozińska-Frybes, The Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Cuba paid a courtesy visit on H.E Ellsworth John at the Embassy. During the visit they discussed areas of their bilateral relations and pledged to continue the deepening of relations between the two countries.

Mrs. Charmane Tappin John, Chargé de A’ffaires at the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the Republic of Cuba, welcomed the Cuban Delegation to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the occasion of the VIII CELAC Summit.
Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel was greeted by Mr. Montgomery Daniel, Deputy Prime Minister.

On February 21, 2024 Chargé d’affairs Mrs Charmane Tappin John chaired a ceremony celebrating the 54 years of Guyana becoming a Republic. The ceremony was held at the Grand Muthu hotel in Havana and was addressed by H. E Halim Majeed, Ambassador of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to the Republic of Cuba. Mrs. Tappin John was welcomed by the Ambassador and the 1st Secretary Mr. Quincy Young.

Today, Ms. Charmane Tappin John signed the book of condolences opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia following the passing of Dr. Hage Gottffried Geingob, Former President of the Republic of Namibia. A State Memorial Service for the late former President will be held on Saturday 24th February 2024 and will be followed by State Burial Service on Sunday 25th February at Heroe’s Acre in Namibia.
