🚸 COMMUNITY ROAD SAFETY REMINDER – KEEP ZEBRA CROSSINGS CLEAR! 🚸

A friendly reminder to all drivers: please do not park or stop in a position that obstructs the view of a zebra crossing.

🚗 Parked vehicles can prevent drivers from seeing pedestrians waiting to cross and stop pedestrians from seeing approaching traffic.

⚠️ A vehicle blocking the view of a crossing can put lives at risk, particularly those of young children.

Please park responsibly, think of others, and help keep our roads safe for everyone.

🚨 CHILD SAFETY REMINDER – CAR SEATS & SEATBELTS 🚨

The Community Police Team would like to remind all parents and guardians of the importance of ensuring that children are travelling safely and legally in vehicles.

👶 Every journey matters, no matter how short!

Please ensure that:

✅ Children use an appropriate, correctly fitted child car seat suitable for their height, weight and age.
✅ Seatbelts are worn correctly by all passengers on every journey.
✅ Children are never allowed to travel unrestrained or share a seatbelt with another passenger.
✅ Child car seats are fitted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

⚠️ A quick trip to school, the shops or a friend's house is no excuse to compromise a child's safety. In the event of a collision, an unrestrained child is at serious risk of injury.

Parents and guardians are responsible for making sure their children are properly secured before setting off.
Please take a moment to check your child's car seat today. A few seconds could save a life.
