On the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, we honor the memory of those ten thousand Finns, who have served in the . The blue and white memorial at the former Kykko Camp, close to Nicosia airport, reminds us about the legacy of Finns for peace and reconciliation.

The EU informal Ministerial meetings continue in Cyprus. 🇨🇾🇪🇺

In the first half of May, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Sari Essayah, Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering, Joakim Strand as well as State Secretary of Ministry of Environment Mika Nykänen attended EU meetings.

Minister Essayah discussed EU's agri-food sector and the Common Fisheries Policy. Minister Strand exchanged views on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the future EU enlargement. State Secretary Nykänen participated in two meetings focusing on affordable housing and energy.

Promoting and protecting the rights of sexual and gender minorities is Finland’s human rights priority. Finland reaffirms its continuous support for the global LGBTIQ+ community.

Argonaut2026 crisis management exercise successfully completed! The Finnish team practiced its national procedures in a scenario of evacuating non-combatants from a crisis area via Cyprus back to Finland. The Nordic family once again proved its value as reliable cooperation partners.
