COMPAT.eGov COMPAT.eGov - Competency Assessment and Training for the Uptake of eGovernment Services by Public Authorities

The question of changing and newly arising e-government competency requirements for public servants is at the center of the "COMPAT.eGov - Competency Assessment and Training for the Uptake of eGovernment Services by Public Authorities" project. New forms of networked inter-organisational cooperation are arising, shared service centres are being set up, one-stop front offices with networked back office-structures are being established. This changing working environment requires different and new skills and competences for public servants. We want to figure out which skills and competences are relevant in the context of e-Government. The project's aim is to support public authorities in better equipping their staff on the path of transformation in the context of e-Government and thereby contribute to the public sector realising the potentials of e-Transformation. The competency approach has an output-oriented focus on a person's holistic performance capacity in a working environment. This analytical approach enables the international comparability as well as the transferability and accounts for all competencies apart from their acquirement.
