🕺 Fashion show featuring traditional clothing from various countries

👋 Meet the Integration Council and Aalborg's ethnic associations to learn more about the many communities that exists

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting yet another 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 event and (sadly) also the last event before the summer break.

Since March, we have met every few weeks to network, learn about job searching in Denmark, and in general to socialize and have fun.

The participants have:
✅ Networked with companies at the Career Fair
✅ Joined a workshop to master writing a CV and cover letter ✍️
✅ Visited a local company
✅ Learned about opportunities for volunteering
✅ Played board games and had fun
✅ Enjoyed lots of cake and ‘hygge’! 🍰

The World Festival is a meeting place for citizens of Aalborg Municipality across nationalities, where there are opportunities to get to know each other’s cultures and to celebrate the diversity of our city together.

Den 19. juni får vi blandt andet besøg af HR Chef ved Components, Carsten Dannemann, der som virksomhedscase kommer til at fortælle om de muligheder og perspektiver, international arbejdskraft giver.

For mange virksomheder er første skridt det sværeste, men ofte er gevinsterne større end bekymringerne📈

I oplægget deler Carsten, hvordan de konkret arbejder med at modtage og onboarde udenlandske medarbejdere og gør dem til en naturlig del af hverdagen.

Colombians in Northern Denmark 🌎

Recently, the Colombian ambassador to Denmark visited Aalborg to connect with the Colombians living in Aalborg Kommune and Northern Denmark.

We were happy to welcome the ambassador, Catalina Velazqués and 40-45 colombians at International House of Northern Denmark for network, exchange of ideas, ways to gather – and not to forget, enjoy some lovely empañadas with ají, a Colombian speciality, made by Mayerli Tombe. 🤩

Also, we were happy to meet international citizens that we have not met before and to inform about the services The International House of Northern Denmark provides and how we can support your life here.

Our collegues from Business Aalborg could also knowledge-share about an upcoming project about trading between Colombian and northern Danish companies as well as a Latin America import-export-event on June 16th which you can read more about here:
