29 May 2026 - First Secretary and Consul Anne Kristine D. Salvador administered the oath of office for the newly elected officers of KALAHI-Denmark. The new leadership will continue KALAHI-Denmark’s efforts to promote Filipino culture, strengthen community ties, and support the welfare of Filipinos in Denmark.

The Embassy congratulates the new officers and looks forward to working closely with KALAHI-Denmark in advancing programs and initiatives that foster unity, cooperation, and bayanihan.

26 May 2026 - Mr. Reuben Carey, Assistant Regulatory Affairs Manager, and Ms. Fiona McIlwham, Head of Public Affairs, of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping (MMMCZCS) paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador Pablito A. Mendoza to discuss the Center’s application for consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Copenhagen, MMMCZCS is an independent, non-profit research and development center dedicated to advancing the maritime industry’s transition to a net-zero future.

21 May 2026 - Ambassador Pablito A. Mendoza met with Mr. Jens-Kristian Lütken, Mayor for Health and Care of the Municipality of Copenhagen, to discuss public health and welfare initiatives and other potential areas for collaboration. Ambassador Mendoza also highlighted the valuable contributions of the Filipino community in Copenhagen, particularly in the healthcare and caregiving sectors. As of Q1 2026, around 16% or 2,566 of the Filipinos in the Kingdom of Denmark reside in Copenhagen.

12 May 2026 - His Excellency Pablito A. Mendoza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Denmark, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Frederik X at Christiansborg Palace.

During his private audience with His Majesty, Ambassador Mendoza conveyed the warm greetings, best wishes, and deep respect of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Filipino people to the King and the people of Denmark. Highlighting this year's celebration of the 80th anniversary of Philippines-Denmark diplomatic relations, the Ambassador expressed his optimism for even stronger bilateral ties and expanded cooperation in the years ahead. In turn, His Majesty conveyed his warm wishes for President Marcos and the Filipino people.

Ambassador Mendoza was accompanied by First Secretaries and Consuls Anne Kristine Salvador and Domini Fañgon-Kitade, as well as Administrative Officer and Attaché Sheila Bengtlars.

09 May 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Denmark participated in the Ambassadors’ Spouses Group’s (ASG) 4th Diplomatic Bazaar held at Gentofte City Hall, highlighting Filipino cuisine, culture, and traditions in celebration of National Heritage Month.

In line with this year’s National Heritage Month theme “𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘴: 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦,” Post featured a fiesta-inspired booth offering traditional Filipino cuisine prepared by Filipino-owned Cateching Catering Services, which included the well-loved Chicken Adobo, Pancit, and Beef Caldereta, as well as popular Philippine food products such as banana chips, dried mangoes, chicharon, Boy Bawang, and tropical fruit juices (mango, guava, coconut water, calamansi, and pineapple) sourced from Filipino entrepreneurs and distributors in Europe Shop VSS and Heuschen & Schrouff.

The Philippine presentations featured a demonstration of Filipino Martial Arts (Arnis) by the Progressive Institute of Martial Arts (PIOMA), and a musical performance by the Philippine Harmony Society in Denmark, reflecting the Filipinos’ enduring love for music and community.

Through its participation, the Embassy underscored the strong connection of Filipinos in Denmark to their cultural roots and their continued efforts to preserve and promote Philippine traditions, even after many years of living overseas.

The diplomatic bazaar brought together twenty-four diplomatic missions and hundreds of guests from the local and diplomatic communities. The event’s proceeds will benefit Kalaallit Meerartaat Grønlandske Børn, an organization dedicated to the welfare and development of children in Greenland. END.
