🚲 Bike needed for work / Cykel søges til arbejde 🚲

EN: One of the guys from Grace Hostel Project recently found a job in Charlottenlund and is in need of a bike for transportation. If you have an old bike that you no longer use and would be willing to donate, please send us a message. We can arrange pickup.

DK: En af beboerne fra Grace Hostel Project har for nylig fået et job i Charlottenlund og mangler en cykel til transport. Hvis du har en gammel cykel, som du ikke længere bruger og har lyst til at donere, så send os gerne en besked. Vi kan arrangere afhentning.

We are very happy for Diamantino, who is part of the Grace Hostel project and has now been working full time as a cleaning assistant, cleaning private homes around Copenhagen.

He is now expecting his first salary at the end of this month and soon he will also move into his own place.

Diamantino wanted to thank the Grace staff and wrote this to us:
“Grace helped me in every moment, from creating a bank account, finding accommodation and understanding public transportation, to helping me start a new life. The Grace team also helped me find a job as a cleaning assistant.”

We wish him the best of luck!

These plates, mugs and bowls will be used in our café for people experiencing homelessness and social vulnerability. It means a lot that a local shop supports local people - the donation helps our guys feel seen and lets them know someone is thinking of them 💚

Verdens bedste nyhed! Vi er så glade for, at vi kan fortsætte med at komme hos Sjællandsgade Badet to gange om ugen for at tilbyde bad, tøjvask og morgenmad til byens hjemløse og udsatte borgere 🛀💚

Nu er det officielt!

I fredags nikkede politikerne i Københavns Kultur-, Fritids- og Borgerserviceudvalg ja til, at Foreningen Sjællandsgade Bad kan fortsætte driften af badet. Det betyder, at vi kan fortsætte med at tilbyde bad og sauna for offentligheden, lave kulturarrangementer og videreføre vores sociale indsatser sammen med vores fantastiske samarbejdspartnere: Gracekbh, Reden, Københavns Politi, FLINT kbh, Recovery Tour, TransSolidarityProject og Bydelsmødre - Fonden for Socialt Ansvar.

Vi er glade og meget, meget taknemmelige. Ikke mindst for de tusindvis af støtteunderskrifter og -kommentarer vi har modtaget fra jer.

Mens vi drager et lettelsens suk og lader den gode nyhed bundfælde sig, går vi i tænkeboks og finder ud af, hvordan det skal fejres.

I mellemtiden holder vi selvfølgelig åbent som vi plejer

🎳Bowling night has finally come… and yet sadly gone.

📸 But thanks to our instax camera we were able to capture some of the great memories (with some blurry shots) of the near 40 of us bowling together, and cheering each other on.

🙏 While we love spending time together in the cafe, there is something extra special when we get to go out together and bond in such an exciting way.

✨What a lovely evening with our Grace family!

Junior has a place to live, but after losing his job he came to Grace Job Café to find work. Yesterday, he signed a contract as a construction site assistant, starting Monday

We are happy for him as the position has fair working conditions and pay.

During one of the coldest winters in recent years, we are so grateful for all of the donations, volunteers, and initiatives that our community has taken to make Grace the warm and inviting place it is.

Without all of your help, we wouldn’t be able to help all of our guests in these various ways.

Thanks to the volunteers who have contributed countless hours.

Today, the guys started the day at the shower with breakfast, a hot shower, and laundry.
Our guests can use the shower twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
We are always in need of one volunteer to help us in the kitchen. If you’d like to volunteer during the shower shift, please send us a message.
Today, 9 of our guests were able to get their laundry done. Thank you for having us 🤍
