Movie screening: The Antifascists (2017)
Folkets Hus, 29/03 at 17.00.

Revolutionære Antifascister will be showing the movie The Antifascists, and talking about the current repression facing antifascists in Denmark and beyond.

The movie will start at 17.30 and takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Description of the movie:
A documentary about the antifascist movement in Sweden and Greece; A low intense war is being fought on the streets of Europe and the aim is on fascism. This documentary takes us behind the masks of the militant groups called antifascists. In 2013 a group of armed n***s attacks a peaceful demonstration in Stockholm where several people are injured. In Greece the ne***zi party Golden Dawn becomes the third largest in the election and in Malmö the activist Showan Shattak and his friends are attacked by a group of n***s with knives and he ends up in a coma. In this portrait of the antifascists in Greece and Sweden we get to meet key figures that explain their view on their radical politics but also to question the level their own violence and militancy

Movie screening: Belkî Sîbe - 13th of February in Folkets Hus.

We will be showing the movie Belki Sibe, and talking about the current situation in Rojava.

The movie will start at 18.00 and takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Description of the movie:

Belki Sibe is a volunteer soldier's film. It unfolds an 18 month journey through war and revolution, in Rojava Kurdistan NE Syria, during the advance and victory of the Syrian Democratic Forces against ISIS, including the story of the International Freedom Battalion, where the director was primarily deployed. It depicts the military life and battles on the front-lines, as well as the civil life at the rear and the social transformation attempted by the Autonomous Administration. In both fields, the role of women's liberation and empowerment is prominent. The film follows a timeline from July 2016 (battle of Manbij) until the end of 2017 (liberation of Raqqa and demise of the Islamic Caliphate), but also includes flash forward updates from late 2021, at the end of each chapter. In Belkî Sibê there is no main character that drives the narrative. Instead, there is a plurality of voices from a multitude of places, that merge to form a synthesis of collective narrative, from the points of view of internationalists as well as locals.

AN ACCOUNT OF YESTERDAYS POLICE VIOLENCE
Yesterday we had a demonstration against the state, repression and the henchmen who carry out the states evil orders. We of course held this on 13/12 aka ACAB day.
We were supposed to go from Trianglen and all the way to Christiansborg, but we never even made it halfway. At the embassy of the so called "USA" we stopped to have a speech. The cops told us that we could not stop on the road and that they would start arresting people if we did not move to the sidewalk and take our masks off.
When we did not move (because the streets are fu***ng ours!) they literally picked up a comrade who is a minor and brutally threw them on the ground.
People rightfully got pi**ed and told the bastards to back the f**k off. Instead of doing as they were told, the cops drew their batons and started beating people.
So far we've heard of broken fingers and arms and bruised ribs and shoulder. The broken arm and fingers was done by the cop with the id F1039. And even though there probably were some cops that didn't break bones on that particular day they all back up their violent collegues on the streets, lie in court about it when we sue them and all uphold the genocidal danish state and do it's bidding by beating up the people it claims to protect.
This is why we say ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS. On ACAB day, today, tomorrow and always. It's not about a few bad apples, the fu***ng soil of the orchard is poisened! That's why we need to uproot and burn all the trees and regenerate the soil: meaning abolish the state and the police and build communities on solidarity and mutual aid instead!

IRISH SING-ALONG AND BAR NIGHT

Come for for our irish-along and bar night where we'll be playing classical irish republican music og celebrate the many years or irish rebellion against imperialism and capitalism. Soon Orekrog forest will be felled to make way for Novos motorway to Kalundborg. We are occupying the little forest and will hold on for as long as we can, but the states power is coming closer and closer. We cannot be certain the trees will still be standing by Octobers first cold dawn.
We hope nature-nerds of every kind will support us and participate when we identify the species of Orekrog forest together this Sunday, the 28th of September! From 12 noon to 4pm we will investigate the forest as thoroughly as we can to document all the species here, before they are gone. At the end of the day we will gather a species list as a memory of this place and its creatures.
Please bring binoculars, camera, sound recorder, field books or whatever else you need to identify and document species with. We are enthusiastic but not experts, so we appreciate all experienced help we can get! If you know a skilled botanist, ornithologist or entomologist, bring them along for a day in the woods. We will serve coffee throughout and lunch at the end.
If you cannot participate this day, or if your species is best observed at a different time of day, you are welcome to visit the forest yourself and report your findings to us when you can. But do it soon, because time is running out…
