This high-level symposium explores Greece’s emerging role within the European science diplomacy landscape and aims to raise awareness of the strategic opportunities that science diplomacy offers for the country.

Bringing together representatives from government, academia, research institutions, and civil society, the symposium will provide a platform to examine the importance of science diplomacy for Greece and Greece’s potential contributions to European science diplomacy.

The event is organized by the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας, the European Commission and the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance.

The Embassy of Greece in Copenhagen is pleased to invite you to a special exhibition presented during this year’s 3daysofdesign festival by the Greek design studio Koukos de Lab.

From 10–12 June 2026, the Embassy will host an immersive exhibition exploring contemporary Greek design, sustainability, and material innovation through the work of Koukos de Lab — a material-driven studio based on the island of Lesvos, Greece.

At the core of the exhibition is Koukoutsi, an eco-material developed from the final waste of olive oil production, primarily olive pits and olive cores. Through furniture and objects created with this innovative material, the exhibition reflects this year’s 3daysofdesign theme, “Make This Moment Matter,” inviting visitors to pause, reflect, and engage with more conscious approaches to design and materiality.

The exhibition transforms the Embassy into a temporary showroom and meeting point where Greek craftsmanship, circular design, and contemporary aesthetics come together in dialogue with the international design community.

Den Græske Ambassade i København har fornøjelsen af at invitere Dem til en særlig udstilling, der præsenteres under årets 3daysofdesign-festival af det græske designstudio Koukos de Lab.

Fra den 10.–12. juni 2026 vil ambassaden være vært for en sanselig og immersiv udstilling, der udforsker moderne græsk design, bæredygtighed og material innovation gennem arbejdet fra Koukos de Lab — et materialedrevet designstudio med base på den græske ø Le**os.

I centrum for udstillingen står Koukoutsi, et økologisk materiale udviklet af restaffald fra olivenolieproduktion, primært olivenkerner og olivenrester. Gennem møbler og designobjekter skabt af dette innovative materiale afspejler udstillingen årets 3daysofdesign-tema, “Make This Moment Matter”, og inviterer besøgende til at stoppe op, reflektere og engagere sig i mere bevidste tilgange til design og materialitet.

Udstillingen forvandler ambassaden til et midlertidigt showroom og mødested, hvor græsk håndværk, cirkulært design og moderne æstetik mødes i dialog med det internationale designmiljø.

🚲Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ποδηλάτου μέσα από τη Συλλογή Έργων Τέχνης του Τελλογλείου Ιδρύματος.

ℹΚαθιερωμένη από τον ΟΗΕ το 2018, η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ποδηλάτου γιορτάζεται κάθε χρόνο στις 3 Ιουνίου, στοχεύοντας να αναδείξει τα πολλαπλά οφέλη αυτού του μεταφορικού μέσου. Οικονομικά προσιτό, οικολογικό και ιδιαίτερα ευέλικτο, το ποδήλατο αποτελεί μια βιώσιμη απάντηση στις προκλήσεις των σύγχρονων πόλεων, ενώ ταυτόχρονα προάγει τη σωματική και ψυχική υγεία.

Στην τέχνη, το ποδήλατο συμβολίζει την κίνηση, την ελευθερία και τη χαρά της καθημερινής ζωής. Από τις πρωτοποριακές αναζητήσεις των καλλιτεχνών του 20ού αιώνα έως τις σύγχρονες εικαστικές δημιουργίες, το ποδήλατο έγινε σύμβολο προόδου και συνάμα μια γνώριμη εικόνα της καθημερινότητας που απέκτησε ξεχωριστή θέση στην εικαστική δημιουργία.

As Near & Far 2026 evolves into a multidisciplinary platform, we are proud to introduce a key highlight of our parallel program. On Saturday, June 27th, we welcome , Professor Emeritus of History at Haverford College and a leading academic voice on global Greek identity. An Oxford-educated historian and author of acclaimed books like The Greeks and the Making of Modern Egypt and Greek Orthodoxy in America, Professor Kitroeff has also served as the historical consultant for landmark documentaries such as Smyrna 1922.

He will deliver an insightful lecture exploring the deep historical roots and identity of the Greek Diaspora, bridging our past and present. Join us for a unique moment of dialogue and reflection where our shared stories echo across the seas.
