Waxiu Shehu, Studio 234+ has created a unique combination of second hand shop, tailoring, remake/redesign and sewing studio as well as dry cleaning. They strive to offer their customers a range of services that make it easier for them to take care of their clothes. The goal is simple: to reduce the threshold for sustainable clothing consumption and offer customers a more conscious and responsible way to shop & take care of clothes.

Jóna Berglind Stefánsdóttir’s work is characterized by material and form experiments with a focus on colors and spatial conceptualization using simple shapes with personality to create stories and emit emotions. Upcycling discarded airbags into artwork transcends their original purpose, inviting viewers to contemplate the intersection of safety, innovation, and aesthetic expression.

PRESTENTING CREATOR —>

Purple Rinse is an upcycle project made by Pernilla Rozenberg. It consists of garments and objects made from reused materials that can be worn or / and serve as art. Each piece is unique, and all leftovers and scraps of materials are kept as small gems waiting to be used at another time.

The aim was to make something that felt inflated, inspired by the airbag. Made in Purple Rinse´s favorite shape; the hockey jersey, with embellishments and marks using scraps from the making of previous garments. They used the airbags to create larger pieces of fabric from which the garment pieces could be cut from alongside using the makings on the airbag as a design element. Adding lacing and the always loved reflex symbols, coz safety first!

Ambassaden ser fram emot att åter vara en del av den årliga stora designfestivalen 3daysofdesign den 16-18 september här i Köpenhamn. Förberedelserna pågår för fullt och vi hoppas många passar på att besöka oss.
Ambassaden står värd för fyra samtida svenska formgivare: David design, som visar sin hållbara och funktionella möbeldesign; Korbo, som visar sina handgjorda trådkorgar; Malmö Upcycling Service (M.U.S), som visar en ny konceptuell kollektion, samt Kristina Stark, som presenterar sin nyaste keramik.
Dessutom visas utställningen Sustain Able Voices/Röster som håller, som består av 23 utvalda verk från Ung Svensk Form/Young Swedish Design Award under åren 2004-2020. Utställningen är en samproduktion av Svensk Form och IKEA Museum och den visas internationellt i samarbete med Svenska institutet. Jan Klingler Designs' Bacteria Lamps och Jenny Ekdahls (Stoft Studios) Dear Disaster ställs ut i fysisk form. 🇩🇰🇸🇪😀

ANNOUNCEMENT! We are participating in Kvadrat Febrik's Knit! design project. The project will be presented at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen but the exhibition will also be possible to visit in a virtual version from September 3. Stay tuned for more info and sneak peaks ;)

About Knit!:
After three successful editions of its design projects, Kvadrat is delighted to announce the commissioning of Knit! – a series of work by 28 different designers exploring the potential of knitted textiles by Kvadrat Febrik. Designers have been chosen from across the world to create pieces with Kvadrat Febrik textiles as the protagonist. The designs will probe the material possibilities, with pieces that explore the boundaries of textile use and celebrate creativity.

The OG. Back in the days we created Reflection candle holder (u can still buy it!). Marble or granite with brass or steel. The very first of objects to start the conversation “can sustainability be sexy?” Yes honey, it can!
