Dominica was proudly represented at the regional workshop, โ€œProsperity on Our Terms: A Caribbean Agenda for Climate Finance Access and Loss and Damage,โ€ held in Barbados from May 28-29, 2026.

Representing the country were Daniel Pemberton, Lisana Dyer and Liam Sebastien Msc, who joined participants from across the Caribbean to engage in critical discussions on improving access to climate finance and advancing solutions to address loss and damage resulting from climate change.

The workshop was organized by the Climate Vulnerable Forum and brought together representatives from vulnerable nations to help shape a stronger, more equitable climate finance agenda that reflects the realities and priorities of developing countries.

As one of the world's leading climate-resilient nations, Dominica remains committed to advocating for greater support, stronger partnerships, and innovative financing mechanisms that will help safeguard communities, ecosystems, and livelihoods in the face of increasing climate challenges.
