إلتقى الفريق أول / عبدالمجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى بالسيد / جوزيب بوريل الممثل الأعلى للسياسة الخارجية والأمنية نائب رئيس المفوضية الأوروبية رئيس مجلس الدفاع للإتحاد الأوروبى والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً ، وذلك بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع .

تناول اللقاء أوجه تعزيز علاقات التعاون مع الإتحاد الأوروبى بمختلف المجالات ذات الإهتمام المشترك ، كذلك مناقشة عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية وتطورات الأوضاع الراهنة بقطاع غزة وإنعكاس ذلك على الأمن والإستقرار بالمنطقة .

حضر اللقاء الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة وعدد من قادة القوات المسلحة المصرية ، وعدد من ممثلى الإتحاد الأوروبى .

General/ Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, meets with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, and President of the European Union’s Council of Defense, during his visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt

General/ Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Josep Borrell, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, and President of the European Union’s Council of Defense, along with his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Defense’s headquarter.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation with the European Union in various areas of mutual interest, as well as discussing several regional and international issues, including the current situation in the Gaza Strip and its impact on security and stability in the region.

Lieutenant General/ Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, several commanders of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and a number of representatives from the European Union attended the meeting.
