Celebrating a New Era in Egyptian Sports

On April 25, 2025, H.E. AASC President Major General Ahmed Nasser attended the Electoral General Assembly of the Egyptian National Olympic Committee (EOC). This gathering was not just a formality; it was a celebration of leadership, vision, and commitment to the advancement of sports in Egypt.

AASC extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Executive Board and its esteemed members, particularly the new President, H.E Engineer Yasser Idris. Their dedication and expertise promise to drive the Egyptian sports movement forward, inspiring athletes and fostering a culture of excellence.

This event stands as a testament to the strong collaboration between the AASC and the NOC of Egypt along with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports. Such partnerships are vital for the growth and development of sports in our region, and we are excited about the future that lies ahead, especially with the African Games 2027.

Furthermore, we would like to express our deep gratitude to H.E. the Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, who His Excellency’s unwavering support for the Egyptian sports movement, as well as for the broader African sports movement, has been invaluable.

Together, we are paving the way for a brighter and more successful future in sports, united by our shared passion and commitment.

استقبل السيد اللواء احمد ناصر رئيس اتحاد الاتحادات الرياضية الأفريقية الاولمبية والغير اولمبية والنوعية ( الاوكسا) السيد انطونيو استيفانوس رئيس الاتحاد الدولي للكاراتيه بمقر الاوكسا وصاحبه في الزيارة السيد اللواء ناصر المرزوقي رئيس الاتحاد الإماراتي للكاراتيه والنائب الاول لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي والسيد / الضهراوي رئيس الاتحاد المصري وعضو مجلس ادارة الاتحاد الدولي وسكرتير عام الاتحاد الدولي في زيارة استغرقت ساعة ونصف وتم الحديث في التعاون بين الاتحاد الدولي والافريقي مع الاوكسا والتنسيق الدائم والمستمر من اجل دعم رياضة الاوكسا في القارة الافريقية وتعتبر زيارة رئيس الاتحاد الدولي هي الثانية لوئيس الاوكسا .. كما أصرّ رئيس الاتحاد الدولي ورئيس الاتحاد المصري والنائب الاول لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي علي حضور اللواء ناصر نهائيات الدوري العالم الذي تستضيفه مصر ولقد استجاب ناصر للدعوة وقد قام بصحبة رئيس الاتحاد الدولي بتوزيع الميداليات علي الفائزين بأحد المسابقات وشكر رئيس الاتحاد الدولي الاوكسا علي دعمها الدائم والمستمر لرياضة الكاراتيه في افريقيا وصرح انه يعتبر الاوكسا من عائلة رياضة الكاراتيه في العالم

On March 12, 2025, H.E. AASC President Major General Ahmed Nasser attended the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of CAF, in Cairo at Mena House.

AASC extends its heartfelt congratulations to CAF and H.E. President Dr. Patrice Motsepe on his new mandate and the confidence bestowed upon him. We also commend and congratulate the newly elected esteemed members of the Executive Board.

Worth mentioning, that CAF is a founding member of AASC-UCSA, in which the first AASC-UCSA President was the CAF President Mr. Yidnekatchew Tessema in 1983.

Together, we look forward to a promising future for African football!

شهد رئيس اتحادية الكونفدراليات الرياضية الافريقية (الاوكسا) الجمعية العمومبية الغير عادية للاتحاد الافريقي لكرة القدم (الكاف) بالقاهرة، والتي شهدت اعادة الثقة في الدكتور/ باتريس موتسيبي رئيساً للكاف بكل الحب والدعم من عائلة كرة القدم الافريقية.

وقد قام رئيس الاوكسا بتهنئة الدكتور/ باتريس موتسيبي متمنياً له وللمجلس الجديد استكمال مسيرة النجاح والتوفيق وكذلك هنأ رئيس الاوكسا مجلس الادارة المنتخب الجديد واضاف التهنئة للسيد/ فيرون اومبا، امين عام الكاف واعادة الثقة فيه لاستكمال مسيرة نجاح الكاف الذي يعتبر اول المؤسسين كعضو لاتحادرية الكونفدراليات الرياضية الافريقية (الاوكسا)، حيث ان اول رئيس للاوكسا كان السيد/ يانديكاتشو تسيما رئيس الكاف عام 1983.

رئيس اتحاد الاتحادات الرياضية العربية والافريقية يشهد احتفالية الاتحاد العربي للثقافة الرياضية برئاسة الإعلامي أشرف محمود في نسختها السادسة في حدث رياضي وثقافي بارز.
نجاح باهر للاحتفالية السادسة للاتحاد العربي للثقافة الرياضية في القاهرة، بمناسبة الدورة السادسة للاتحاد العربي للثقافة الرياضية والتي شهدت حضور سيادة اللواء/ احمد ناصر رئيس اتحاد الاتحادات الرياضية العربية والافريقية ومعالي الوزير الدكتور أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة، ورئيس المكتب التنفيذي لمجلس وزراء الشباب والرياضة العرب، والسيد/ محمد بن يوسف المانع رئيس مجلس أمناء الاتحاد العربي للثقافة الرياضية والنائب الأول لرئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية، ورئيس الاتحاد القطري والعربي والآسيوي لرفع الأثقال، بالاضافة الى سفراء ومندوبو عدد من الدول العربية بالقاهرة وعدد كبير من رؤساء الاتحادات الرياضية المصرية والعربية وحشد من رجال الإعلام.
اختتمت الاحتفالية بتأكيد المشاركين على أهمية الرياضة كأداة قوية لتعزيز الوحدة وتنمية المجتمعات، كما تم التأكيد على ضرورة الاستثمار في الرياضة الشبابية وتوفير البنية التحتية اللازمة لتطوير المواهب الرياضية.

President of the Union of Arab Sports Federations and the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC-UCSA) attends the sixth edition of the Arab Confederation for Sports Culture's celebration, led by media figure Mr. Ashraf Mahmoud, in a prominent sports and cultural event.
The sixth celebration of the Arab Confederation for Sports Culture in Cairo was a remarkable success, coinciding with the sixth session of the Arab Union for Sports Culture. Among dignitaries His Excellency Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of the Union of Arab and African Sports Confederations, as well as His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports. Also present were Mr. Mohammed bin Youssef Al-Manna, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Union for Sports Culture and First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, along with the President of the Qatari, Arab, and Asian Weightlifting Federations. In addition to, ambassadors and representatives from several Arab countries in Cairo, a large number of Egyptian and Arab sports federation presidents, and a host of media representatives were present.
The event concluded with participants emphasizing the importance of sports as a powerful tool for promoting unity and developing communities. There was also a strong call for investment in youth sports and the provision of the necessary infrastructure to develop athletic talents.

"رئيس اللجنة البارالمبية الدولية يزور الأوكسا .. تعاون تاريخي لتعزيز الرياضة البارالمبية في إفريقيا"

في خطوة تاريخية تعزز من مكانة الرياضة الأفريقية، قام السيد/ أندرو بارسون، رئيس اللجنة البارالمبية الدولية وعضو اللجنة الاولمبية الدولية، بزيارة رسمية لمقر اتحادية الكونفدراليات الرياضية الأفريقية (الأوكسا) في استاد القاهرة الدولي، حيث كان في استقباله اللواء أحمد ناصر، رئيس الأوكسا.

جاءت هذه الزيارة الرفيعة المستوى في أعقاب زيارة رئيس اللجنة البارالمبية الدولية وعضو اللجنة الاولمبية الدولية السيد/ أندرو بارسون لفخامة رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي أمس، وبدعم من معالي وزير الشباب والرياضة الدكتور/ أشرف صبحي.
وشهد اللقاء حضور السيد الدكتور/ حسام الدين مصطفى رئيس اللجنة البارالمبية المصرية والدكتور/عماد البناني امين عام الاوكسا والدكتورة/ ندا مشعل المدير التنفيذي للأوكسا، في إطار سعي الجانبين إلى تعزيز التعاون المشترك ودفع عجلة التنمية الرياضية في القارة السمراء.

وأكد السيد/ أندرو بارسون خلال اللقاء على أهمية الدور الذي تلعبه الأوكسا في تطوير الرياضة الأفريقية، مشيدًا بالجهود التي يبذلها اللواء أحمد ناصر والاوكسا لتحقيق هذا الهدف. وصرح بارسون بانه مسرور للغاية بزيارة الأوكسا والالتقاء باللواء أحمد ناصر وإن الأوكسا تلعب دوماً دورًا حيويًا في تطوير الرياضة الأفريقية، وانه متأكد من أن تعاوننا سيساهم في تحقيق امال وطموحات اللجنة البارالمبية الدولية في افريقيا مع الاتحاد القاري المعني بالرياضة.
من جانبه، رحب اللواء أحمد ناصر بزيارة السيد/ أندرو بارسون، مؤكدًا أن هذه الزيارة تأتي في وقت حاسم، حيث تسعى الأوكسا إلى تعزيز مكانة الرياضة الأفريقية على الساحة الدولية للرياضات الاولمبية والغير اولمبية والنوعية وقال ناصر: "إننا نعتبر التعاون مع اللجنة البارالمبية الدولية شراكة استراتيجية تساهم في تحقيق أهدافنا المشتركة.

"IPC President Visits UCSA: Significant cooperation to Boost Paralympic Sports in Africa"
In a landmark move to elevate the status of African sports, H.E Mr. Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and member of the International Olympic Committee, made an official visit to the headquarters of the Association of African Sports Confederations UCSA at Cairo International Stadium, where he was warmly received by H.E Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of UCSA.

This high-level visit follows the IOC Member and IPC President's meeting with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the previous day and was further supported by H.E Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports.

The meeting was also attended by Honorable Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, Dr. Emad El-Bannani, Secretary-General of UCSA, and Dr. Nada Mashal, Executive Director, as both parties sought to strengthen cooperation and drive the development of sports on the African continent.

During the meeting, Mr. Andrew Parsons emphasized the crucial role played by UCSA in the development of African sports, commending the efforts of Major General Ahmed Nasser and UCSA in achieving this goal, additionally, H.E Mr. Parsons expressed his immense pleasure at visiting UCSA and meeting with H.E Major General Ahmed Nasser, stating that UCSA always played a vital role in developing African sports, and he is confident that their collaboration will contribute to realizing the IPC's aspirations and ambitions in Africa alongside the continental sports confederations.

In turn, Major General Ahmed Nasser welcomed H.E Mr. Andrew Parsons' visit, affirming that it comes at a pivotal time as UCSA strives to enhance the position of African sports on the international stage for all its member confederations whether Olympic, non-Olympic, or thematic sports.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Nasser took the opportunity to reiterate the strategic importance of the cooperation with IPC, stating, 'Our cooperation with the IPC is a strategic partnership that contributes to achieving our common goals.'
