Travelling with pots

Even though looks don't matter, our little pot is a little envious of the running doggies on one of his Roman friends ;)

Little pot is having a wonderful time in Saqqara among his various and beautiful grand sisters and brothers! And he is carefully checking every drawing!

The little pot just explored the Bent Pyramid in Dahshur, recently opened to public and enjoys the view on the Red Pyramid! :D

This little pot met some of his slightly bruised and battered ancient ancestors! :) A jug and cooking pot from the 13th century AD.

Little pot visiting the castle in Vianden, Luxembourg. Did you know that the small Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (the only grand duchy left in the world) has quite a lot of castles that are well worth visiting? :)

Today we closed the Library of Egyptology of the Collège de France, the place where Egyptology was born 😉 we will reopen on September 2. Jean-François Champollion and the entire Egyptological team wish you a happy month of August! 😎🤠

Little pot enjoys its time wandering around the Sackler library in Oxford, which houses amongst many other things a huge Egyptological book collection and the famous Griffith Institute. Besides these many interesting books, however, the Sackler also provides a welcome change to the heat outside, as it is generally freezing inside... 🥶 But then again, if you have Egypt in your heart, you can never truly freeze. Am I right? ;)

US-based pot continues it's long journey home from Naples with a stop on the East Coast in upstate New York, wine tasting in the Finger Lakes region.

Making new Friends in Frankfurt. A very touristic pot this one, all shiny and smooth begging to be bought and taken home :)
