We are beyond grateful that today, after what has felt like a sprint of our lives, we can finally introduce you to a collaboration that has been in the works between VibeLab and Amsterdam Dance Event
Together with so many amazing insiders, researchers and friends of nightlife, we developed the first Nighttime Culture Index (NCI) to assess the cultural vitality of cities around the world.
The first edition of NCI explores six cities: Amsterdam, Lagos, New York, São Paulo, Seoul and Sydney. This is not a popularity contest. Our ambition is to build a global advocacy network and establish a baseline to track progress over time.
A team of more than 100 people came together to make the NCI happen, analysing 12,000+ event line-ups, 3,000+ venues and nearly 30,000 non-music cultural events, while gathering insights from 700+ survey respondents, 67 focus group participants and 14 nighttime culture experts.
