💛 **A little introduction from me…**
Hello, I'm Suzanne, and I'd like to share a little about my work and my short-term respite-at-home service through Take 5.
I'm a registered nurse in both Spain and the UK, with 20 years of nursing experience, including 15 years working with people living with dementia and their families.
Through my work, I've come to realise that sometimes a few hours simply isn't enough. Caring for someone you love can mean putting so much of your time and energy into their needs that finding time for yourself isn't always easy.
We often hear that to care for others, we need to care for ourselves, too. But when someone depends on you, taking time away can be difficult, even when you know a little breathing space would help.
This is why I developed my **short-term respite-at-home service** through Take 5. I provide care for your loved one in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, giving you the opportunity to take some time for yourself, attend to other commitments, visit family or friends, or simply enjoy a little time to recharge, knowing your loved one is being cared for.
Although my experience has a strong background in dementia care, this service isn't just for people living with dementia. The same understanding, compassion and individual approach can benefit anyone who needs care at home, while giving their family or usual carer some valuable time for themselves.
I've put together an information pack to explain a little more about the service and how I may be able to help.
If this sounds like something that could be helpful to you, or someone you know, please feel free to get in touch. I'm always happy to have a chat. 💛
