CAPuS PROJECT

17 public and private institutions across Europe and USA have joined in such as interesting (and needed) project for the conservation of urban art. The project will be developed between 2018-2020 platforming educational purposes and research on the identification of a protocol and mechanisms for the preservation of urban and street artworks.

CAPuS es un importante y muy necesario proyecto formado por 17 instituciones públicas y privadas por la conservación de prácticas relacionadas con el Urban Art. Este proyecto se llevará a cabo entre 2018 y 2020 dentro de un programa, a la vez educativo y de investigación, para la identificación de un protocolo y mecanismos de actuación en la preservación de prácticas artísticas urbanas.

Next June, Will Shank and Maria Chatzidakis will lecture on Public Murals and Street Art Conservation in the 15th edition of 20|21 Contemporary Art Conservation-Restoration Masterclass. Event organised by 20|21 Conservação e Restauro de Arte Contemporânea.

5POINTZ TRIAL

Recientemente, un grupo de 20 escritores de grafiti han llevado al tribunal el caso de 5Pointz, la meca del grafiti en NY. El conjunto arquitectónico fue derruído e 2014 para construir nuevas viviendas. Ahora se discute la propiedad física e intelectual de las obras que allí se encontraban con respecto a sus autores y los propietarios del lugar, así como el respeto hacia las mismas.

5Pointz's artworks importance is being identified in a trial in NY. 20 graffiti writers have brought this case to the table, in order to identify the consideration, respect and property of the artworks displayed until the demolishing of the building in 2014.
