Dear Film Lovers,
We are pleased to inform you that the film club of the Embassy of Hungary is back with an exciting Hungarian film.
🎟️Admission to the event is free. We welcome anyone who may be interested, so please bring your family and friends if they wish to attend the event with you.
🎬The film club will continue on Friday, 13 March with a screening of “Véletlenül írtam egy könyvet” (I accidentally wrote a book).
The film is in Hungarian language with English subtitles.

On 19 February the Ambassador of Hungary in Addis Ababa Mr. Attila Toth paid an introductory visit to Mr. Sandokan Debebe, Commissioner of the Ethiopian Nuclear Energy Commission (ENEC). During the meeting, the two sides discussed possibilities of future cooperation in the field of nuclear energy between Hungary and Ethiopia, including capacity building and scholarships as well as getting acquainted with Hungary's half-century experience. The two sides stressed that cooperation in the field of nuclear energy can form a strong base to build on in other areas of bilateral relations.

On January 29th, 2026, at the initiative of the Ethiopian partner, Hungarian Ambassador Attila Tóth visited the Ethiopian Police University (EPU) and the Ethiopian Forensic Investigation and Research Centre, located in the city of Sendafa. During the visit, Hon. Dr. Tamran Mulugeta, President of the EPU presented the history and operation of both institutions and the two parties agreed to examine the development opportunities for bilateral cooperation between our countries in the field of police training and law enforcement.

On January 27th, 2026, H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssuf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, received the recently appointed Hungarian Ambassador in Addis Ababa, H.E. Mr. Attila Tóth, who presented his credentials as Hungary's delegate to the African Union. In addition to the impacts of global processes on Africa and the upcoming African Union summit, Hungary's development, humanitarian and educational activities on the African continent within the framework of the Southern Opening were also discussed at the meeting.
