🎓 Important information for students entering university in 2019

📢 Students who have recently taken the Entrance Exam, you will be asked to fill out the University Placement after a while. Since university is a place where you will study and live for many years, you should make your choice based on sufficient information, not just the advice of others.

🔎 1. Decide on the Field / Department you want first.

This is the most important thing.

👉 Decide now what you want to study.

👉 Shortlist the universities that offer the Department you want.

👉 Make sure that the university actually offers that Department.

📚 2. Check the quality of education
Just because the university is famous is not enough.

Especially check how good the Field / Department you want to study is at that university.
👨‍🏫 Quality of teachers
🏫 Learning environment
🔬 Laboratories / Facilities
📖 Educational conditions
🎓 Graduate employment opportunities Check these carefully.

🌍 3. Gather enough information about the University and the city

Watch the University of your choice on YouTube and other information sources.

But more than that, ask students directly about that University. If you know a sibling or friend who is studying at that University, ask him/her for his/her concrete experience.

🎯 4. Be extra careful with competitive departments.

In highly competitive universities like Addis Ababa University (AAU), the competition can be high for highly competitive departments like Medicine, software Engineering, dental...... So, don’t just rely on your first choice. Have backup choices that match your grades and the field you want to study.

👥 5. Consult with people when filling out University Placement

Instead of filling out University placements on your own, consult with people who have experience.
👨‍🎓 Get advice from classmates
👩‍🎓 Brothers and sisters studying at the University
👨‍🏫 People who teach at the University
👥 Students studying at that University But remember that the final decision is yours.

🛡️ 6. Check the city’s safety
If you are considering choosing a university in a city other than your home city, check the city’s:
🔹 Safety
🔹 Transportation
🔹 Cost of living
🔹 Housing

🌤️ 7. Consider the climate
The climate of the city where the university is located should also be factored into your decision.

☀️ Extremely hot
❄️ Extremely cold
🌧️ Excessive rainfall
Can affect the comfort of some students for many years.

⭐ In general, University Placement is not just about choosing a reputable university. Before you choose:
🎯 Field / Department
📚 Quality of education
🏫 Campus & Facilities
🛡️ City safety
💰 Cost of living
🌤️ Climate
🚀 Future career opportunities
Consider all of these before making a decision.

📌 Choosing a university is a decision that can affect your future.
🌐 We also provide detailed information about different universities, departments, and student experiences.
📢 We are with you until the last University Placement is filled
