Indonesian Defence Attaché Office - Suva

Today, H.E. Dupito Simamora met with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Mr. Isoa Talemaibua, to discuss new disaster management cooperation between Indonesia and Fiji.

The discussion focused on disaster resilience training for government officials and community representatives in Fiji, as well as updating the expired MoU on disaster management.

As the 2025 MSG Chair, Fiji has significant potential in HADR (Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief) to benefit Melanesian and the Pacific regions. Indonesia is ready to share its expertise and resources to strengthen Fiji’s capacity 🌏🤝🇮🇩🇫🇯
