The Philippine Embassy in Paris wishes to advise all Filipinos residing in Paris to take all precautions tomorrow evening when the Paris-Saint Germain (PSG) football team plays Arsenal in the Champions League final at Budapest. The Paris Police have promised to provide maximum security to all Parisians in light of what may be wild celebrations in the event of a PSG victory. All citizens are therefore advised to take all necessary precautions and note that many major streets in the capital,, including the Champs Elysées, will be closed to vehicular traffic in the evening.

The Philippine Embassy in Paris is inviting qualified applicants for the temporary position of a Consular Clerk & Translator, subject to a 6-month probationary period:
TASKS
Assist the Consular and Assistance-to-Nationals Sections in its daily operations.
Address inquiries and requests received by telephone, email, and in person.
Receive and provide assistance to visitors and clients of the Embassy.
Coordinate with the French authorities and other official authorities on behalf of the Embassy, among other tasks.
Provide translation and interpretation services.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Has the legal residency to stay and work permanently in France
2. Possesses a relevant academic qualification
3. Has a valid police clearance from French authorities
4. Is physically and mentally fit to work
5. Is fluent in Filipino, English, and French (B2 level)
6. Is computer-literate and technologically savvy
7. Able to effectively draft official correspondence
8. Possesses a valid French driver’s license

The Philippine Statistics Authority reports the top causes of death in the country for January to October 2025 (Provisional as of 31 March 2026). Leading the list were:

🔬 Neoplasms - 68,864 cases
🧠 Cerebrovascular diseases - 55,756 cases
🌬️ Pneumonia - 38,607 cases
🩸 Diabetes mellitus - 34,611 cases
While the numbers reflect ongoing health challenges, they also remind us to take small steps toward better lifestyle choices, regular check-ups, and stronger support for community health.
