🤝🚀 Choose France 2026: A record-breaking edition 🤝🚀
Yesterday's 9th edition of the Choose France Summit at Versailles once again demonstrated France's attractiveness as a destination for international investment.
• 71 investment announcements
• €93 billion in investments
• More than 15,600 jobs expected
Seven years after the first edition, France continues to strengthen its position as Europe's leading destination for international investment.
Several Swedish companies were invited by President Emmanuel Macron to this year's Choose France Summit.
Three major investment announcements were made by:
🔹 Alfa Laval announced close to €50 million in investments across its French production sites between 2026 and 2028, including the expansion of its facility in Golbey. The project will support growing demand for industrial gases and emerging energy applications while creating around 50 new jobs.
🔹Ingka Group | IKEA confirmed an additional €35 million investment in France by 2030, including the opening of 10 compact-format stores, the creation of 300 jobs and the development of more sustainable deliveries via the Seine.
🔹 Scania France announced nearly €70 million in investments to strengthen its truck assembly plant in Angers. The investment will increase production capacity and position the site as a key hub in the Group's electric truck manufacturing chain.
In connection with Choose France, we had the pleasure of welcoming several Swedish companies who chose to organise meetings and press conferences at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France. Among them were our Premium Members Alfa Laval and SKF, highlighting the strong engagement of Swedish industry in France and the importance of French-Swedish business relations.
