Who is the current favorite player to win the Ballon D'or?

PSG winger Désiré Doué just won the UEFA Champions League for the second year in a row. And when given the chance to speak, he made sure the world knew who deserved the real credit.

"Look at our family. We just want to say thank you, thank you. I'm just so happy and I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ tonight because that was my prayer, to win this Champions League again. And we did it. I'm so happy."

That is not a polished statement. That is a young man standing in the middle of one of the greatest moments in club football, still processing what just happened, and the first name out of his mouth is Jesus. He thanked others. But above everything else, he pointed to Jesus.

Notice what he said. He had prayed specifically to win the Champions League again. He brought that request to God. He trusted God with the outcome. And when the final whistle blew and the trophy was in his hands for the second consecutive year, he did not forget who he had asked.

That is the kind of faith that does not show up only in defeat. That is the kind of faith that remembers God in the middle of the celebration. Most people thank God when things go wrong. Désiré Doué thanked God when everything went exactly right.

He also stepped up to take a penalty in one of the highest-pressure moments in football. The kind of moment that ends careers or defines them. And he delivered. Not because of nerves of steel alone. Because he had already settled in his heart who gets the glory when it is over.

The Champions League trophy is one of the most coveted prizes in sport. And Doué held it up and pointed it straight back to Jesus.

"Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men" (Colossians 3:23).

Are you giving God the glory in your victories, not just your valleys?

This is what it looks like when someone refuses to take credit for what God has done. Désiré Doué just won back-to-back Champions League titles with PSG, stepped up for a penalty in the biggest moment of the match, and the first thing he said was "I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." He prayed for it. God answered. And he said so out loud in front of the world. Pray for more athletes who honor God in the victory, not just in the valley.

PSG vs arsenal highlight 🔥

Paris Saint-Germain started the same 10 outfield players in two consecutive Champions League finals.

The only change came in goal: Gianluigi Donnarumma started the previous final, while Matvey Safonov was between the posts this time.

That's what you call a solid foundation. 🔴🔵🏆
