Honestly couldn’t be having a lovelier time on my little first euro van road trip 🥹 what do you mean this was our campsite and I could get out my van and literally into this lake ?! 😍 only day 2 and two swims in Annecy in the cleanest lake, copious pastries, Nevis’s first night abroad and big swim in the lake, visit to Annecy old town, outside bar in Polly and now after a trip to the mountains we are in chamonix for a couple of days adventure 🫶🏼🌞🏔️🇫🇷✨🚐

Life has been pretty tricky lately and almost didn’t do the trip as felt v overwhelmed but I am so pleased and proud I did 🥹. Can’t wait to see what the next 10 days looks like ✨

A wild swim in the DOLOMITES 🏔️✨🇮🇹🥹.

Actually really tricky to open water swim here as lots of lakes are, quite rightly, protected alpine environments or water reserves. So Lago di Sorapis, Lago di Braies, Lago di Carezza and Lake Misurina are some you can’t swim in. However this lake you CAN swim in, and 1000% should!!

It’s very clayey which was quite a slippy experience 🤣 but beautiful scenery! Bit shallow this time of the year (deeper than this picture 🥲) but plenty deep enough for a lie down in to cool off. This is Lago di Landro, otherwise known as Dürrensee.

It’s SO beautiful!! There’s a Tre Cime panoramic viewpoint further down the road and a couple of lovely restaurants near by too.

The dolomites scenery is pretty spectacular 🥹. Forested pine covered trails with epic hugeeee mountains poking out. It was so so beautiful 😍. Having a play with my new camera and spoilt for choice with things to photograph. This was our last day and unexpectedly sunny 🌞. This is a very well known but very recommended trail and actually it was no where near as busy as I thought it would be, I was almost put off doing ‘popular’ things but actually turned out great, 1000% worth it and had the best mushroom risotto of my life at the refugio half way round, 10/10 recommend. Will pop a proper post up but how nice to just post 1 photo too like the old days!

What a 5 days I’ve had 🥹 landed in Verona late Friday night, drove to the Dolomites for 3am Saturday and left Tuesday evening, followed by a day at Lake Garda and Verona to be met with a 6 hour flight delay and a 4am arrival home, woooof what a jam packed few days. Did SO much in 4 days in the Dolomites, didn’t have much annual leave left as off on a juicy van road trip to the mountains next week but wowser, Dolomites I will be back 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼. Wasn’t sure if 4 days would be worth it, but it was 100000% worth it.

Did some quiet bits and some touristy bits that actually were timed exceptionally well haha and it was so quiet, including the hot spots (which tbh I throughly enjoyed!), I am half made of pizza and aperol at this point. Stunning place and can’t wait to have more than 2 hrs sleep and sort through my hundreds of photos 🥹📸🎞️🇮🇹🏔️

Absolutely LOVE this swimming costume, two of my absolute favourite colours and some of my favourite animal 😍. Holuna Art makes some of the most beautiful illustrated swimwear, I am strongly eyeing up my next set 🤩. The material is SO soft!!

This swimsuit paired perfectly with my Merry People sandals (very kindly gifted from Spring PR) which are waterproof and stunning! I took them for their first maiden voyage kayaking and they were brilliant for swimming in these coves because I literally cannot walk on stones with bare feet, why does it hurt so much? 😂

The pink sandals with the pink in the swimsuit made me feel so bouji 💁🏻‍♀️😂

This was such a great afternoon of kayaking and having broadsands pretty much to ourselves for a little picnic! 😍
