Police Scotland would like your feedback on proposed changes to Police Scotland public counter provision in Aberdeen. To deliver an enhanced service to the communities within Aberdeen, we are now proposing the opening of an additional public counter at Kittybrewster Police Station with staffing being delivered through redeployment of several PESA’s currently based at Marischal College. Hours of operation at both locations would be 7am – midnight, seven days a week.

Whilst this proposal would result in removal of overnight public counter provision in Aberdeen, in future, members of the public would be able to choose which location they wish to attend either based on their geographic location or travel preference with Kittybrewster offering ample free parking and is well connected with public transport.

Voters should check that their registration is up to date for two forthcoming by-elections, the UK parliamentary by-election for Aberdeen South (polling day Thursday 18 June) and the Local Government by-election for George Street/Harbour (polling day Thursday 25 June).
Remember to update details if you have recently changed address. Please be aware there is a separate registration process for voting by post at UK Parliament elections so you may have voted by post at last month’s Scottish Parliament elections without currently being registered to vote by post in the Aberdeen South by-election. To check the status of your registration, please contact the Electoral Registration Officer. For the Aberdeen South by-election, the deadline for new postal vote and postal proxy applications, and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes is 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June.
