www.delgatiecastle.com is a registered Charity. Dating from 1030 the Castle is steeped in Scottish history yet still gives the atmosphere of a lived in home.
It has some of the finest painted ceilings in Scotland dating 1592 and 1597. It has a Mary Queen of Scots bed chamber; boasts Victorian clothes, fine furniture and paintings are displayed throughout. Delgatie has the widest turnpike stair in Britain. Visit Scotland has awarded the Castle 4 stars as a 'Visitor Attraction.'

Rather breezy here today but warm enough - we are open and ready to welcome everyone. Carrie has made red pepper and tomato soup today and Katie has done the Cullen Skink - everyone would be so disappointed if we did not have it on the menu too.

Dont know what has happened to the sunshine today but there is always a warm welcome here at the Castle. We are open and already have visitors which is lovely. Today we have our delicious cold fish platter and a mediterranean platter on the menu - both lovely - but then I am biased !! Scones are just out of the oven.

What a beautiful morning. Saturday again - as usual the week has just disappeared and it has been great to be busy. Will shortly be opening the doors at 10a.m. and we ready go welcome everyone. Our scones - blue berry and plain - are out of the oven and cooling, lots of lovely cake on our cake stand as always - time to treat yourself for the weekend.

Morning - a cosy one today for a change. Just getting the scones in the oven, coffee cake already there, leek and potato soup on the menu today as well as our wonderful Cullen Skink. We will be open at 10a.m. Look forward to welcoming you.

Good Morning everyone- the start of another busy day here in the Castle Kitchen. Will be getting the scones in the oven shortly, soup is on, and we will be ready to welcome everyone. Did you know that we have some of the finest painted ceilings here at Delgatie Castle dating 1592 and 1597. They were painted to record historic events, the people who lived in the Castle and adorned with sayings of the time - "my hope is in ye Lord" for example. The Castle and the tearoom is open every day 10a.m. to 4p.m.

Just a wee update. My wonderful wonderful helpers here have managed to do all the work for me and get the road opened round the front of the Castle in time for lunch. Just thought I would let everyone know. Look forweard to welcoming you.

A wee bit nippy this morning when I came outside but the sun is shining and it is going to be another glorious day. We will be open at 10a.m. ready to welcome everyone from breakfasts through to afternoon tea - we can do it all!!

This afternoon and all day tomorrow the road round the front of the Castle will be closed off as we are doing repairs to the road. Visitors can still come to the Castle and tearoom by walking up the steps from the car park.

Wow what a morning - I have been busy baking scones and they are on their way to the Young Farmers Stand to help them raise money today - my girls and I are donating these to such a worth while cause - they are not just scones - they are - "Delgatie Castle Scones"

Afternoon everyone - been a busy morning since we opened but a wee bit quieter now.
Tomorrow is May Day in Turriff and you will be able to have a lovely day out enjoyingthe Pipe Band playing, stalls selling hand made goods , food, and of course the shops in Turriff will be open too.
Please come along and support all that the organisers do to keep this lovely event on.
Here at the Castle we will be open at 10a.m. - scones and cakes will be ready, breakfasts available iuntil 11.30a.m. - Look forward to welcoming everyone
