📣 VOLUNTEERS WEEK – 1-7 JUNE 📣

This week is Volunteers Week, highlighting the contributions of volunteers.

Grampian Housing’s own Tracy and her son volunteer on Saturday mornings at The Seed Box Ltd in Banchory doing seasonal jobs such as watering plants, weeding, cutting vegetables/flowers and displaying them in the shop.

“We’d recommend a wee visit to the shop if you need any plants and there’s a lovely walk nearby at loch of leys” said Tracy, “Oh and their fresh apple juice is delicious!”

🎉 WELL DONE WEDNESDAY: GRAMPIAN HOUSING AWARDED ‘SOCIAL HOUSING PARTNER OF THE YEAR’ 🎉

Grampian Housing are delighted to have been recognised as ‘Social Housing Partner of the Year’ by Octopus Energy.

The award was presented due to the roll out of the Tenant Power tariff which is designed to help eligible households cut their electricity bills while supporting greener, more sustainable housing.

📣🏠 GRAMPIAN HOUSING ASSOCIATION CALLS FOR FOCUS ON HOUSING FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES 🏠📣

Grampian Housing Association is calling on the Scottish Government to prioritise housing for people with learning disabilities as part of its wider housing strategy.

The call comes as tenants move into their new homes at Glassgreen Village in Elgin.

We continues to work with partners to support inclusive communities and increase housing choice. This development of 13 new flats with staff accommodation in Elgin, was delivered in partnership with Moray Council and Springfield PLC with support from The Scottish Government.

The homes are designed to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities and to support independent living. The Association has been working closely with national social care charity, Community Integrated Care to achieve this.
