Aberdeen University Amnesty International Society

The official Amnesty International Society at the University of Aberdeen. Amnesty International was founded in 1961 out of a London barrister’s office.

It has now grown to a worldwide organisation spanning 150 countries and more than three million members. The founding principles remain the same, though: we are independent of any government, political party, economic interest or religion, and we always will be.
