What a day — truly incredible. We’re lucky to live in such a fantastic community. The support and love shown today for us as a station, and for this gorgeous little family, speaks volumes. We’re proud to support Nels Welsh Army, and we can’t thank you enough for your generosity.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who turned up and made today possible — without you, none of this could happen. We also had some brilliant little helpers throughout the day, and they absolutely loved getting involved.
Thank you as well to Councillor Gwyn Wigley Evans for coming along to show his support — especially as a Fire Authority member.
A total of £1,400 was raised. £700 will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity, and the other £700 will go to Nels Welsh Army, who are raising money for Tŷ Hafan, Ffrindiau Bach yr Eos, and Dosbarth Pili‑pala.
Am ddiwrnod — gwirioneddol anhygoel. Rydyn ni mor lwcus i fyw mewn cymuned mor wych. Mae’r gefnogaeth a’r cariad a ddangoswyd heddiw i ni fel gorsaf, ac i’r teulu bach hyfryd hwn, yn dweud popeth. Rydyn ni’n falch o gefnogi Nels Welsh Army, ac allwn ni ddim diolch digon i chi am eich haelioni.
Diolch enfawr i’r holl wirfoddolwyr a ddaeth draw heddiw i wneud hyn yn bosibl — hebddoch chi, ni fyddai’n digwydd. Cawson ni hefyd rai cynorthwywyr bach gwych drwy’r dydd, ac roedden nhw wrth eu boddau’n helpu.
Diolch hefyd i’r Cynghorydd Gwyn Wigley Evans am ddod i ddangos ei gefnogaeth — yn enwedig fel aelod o’r Awdurdod Tân.
Codwyd cyfanswm o £1,400. Rhoddir £700 i The Fire Fighters Charity, a’r £700 arall i Nels Welsh Army, sy’n codi a***n ar gyfer Tŷ Hafan, Ffrindiau Bach yr Eos, a Dosbarth Pili‑pala.

A proud day for our station as FF Magor received an award from the High Sheriff of Dyfed for his exceptional bravery. He went above and beyond during a challenging water rescue, helping save three people and their two dogs after their vehicle was swept down the river in extremely fast‑moving water.
FF Magor entered the vehicle under incredibly dangerous conditions, supported by the Aberystwyth and Lampeter crews. Their outstanding teamwork and professionalism were also recognised with awards. Together, they carried out a complex and high‑risk rescue with courage, skill, and absolute commitment to saving lives.
Roedd heddiw yn foment o falchder i’n gorsaf, wrth i FF Magor dderbyn gwobr gan Uchel Siryf Dyfed am ei ddewrder eithriadol. Aeth y tu hwnt i’w ddyletswyddau wrth helpu i achub tri o bobl a’u dau gi ar ôl i’w cerbyd gael ei ysgubo i lawr yr afon mewn dŵr hynod o gyflym.
Aeth FF Magor i mewn i’r cerbyd mewn amodau hynod beryglus, gyda chefnogaeth criwiau Aberystwyth a Llambed. Derbyniodd y criwiau hynny wobrau hefyd am eu gwaith tîm rhagorol. Gyda’i gilydd, llwyddon nhw i gwblhau achubiaeth gymhleth ac uchel ei risg gyda dewrder, proffesiynoldeb a phenderfyniad llwyr i achub bywydau. Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub CGC / MAWW Fire and Rescue

Please avoid travelling unless it’s absolutely essential. Road conditions are extremely hazardous, and the council are working hard to treat the roads.
Osgowch deithio oni bai ei fod yn gwbl hanfodol. Mae cyflwr y ffyrdd yn hynod beryglus, ac mae’r cyngor yn gweithio’n galed i drin y ffyrdd.

We’ve just donated the final £500 from the funds raised in 2025 to support Hanna in her mission to help people in our community who are going through treatment, all while she’s bravely going through treatment herself. ❤️
A huge well done to Hanna Lockwood James, and Diana Miller for all their hard work and dedication.
