Protect Bronglais Services will be holding a ‘Health Question Time’ session for Senedd election candidates, at Neuadd Goffa Penparcau Memorial Hall, Penparcau, Penparcau Road, Aberystwyth, SY23 1RZ at 7 pm on Friday, 13th March 2026.

Discussion will be centred around health and more particularly, the way that health services can be delivered in a semi-rural and rural setting like Mid and West Wales.

By the time this meeting takes place, Hywel Dda University Health Board will have made its decision on its recent Consultation on the Clinical Services Plan affecting nine clinical disciplines across the Health Board area.

As the only District General Hospital serving four counties within a radius of 50 – 75 miles, Bronglais Hospital plays a pivotal role within Mid and West Wales. Not only is Bronglais hugely important to the people of Ceredigion, but also to those living in Southern Meirionnydd and Western Montgomeryshire.

In all, PBS is inviting a group of twelve candidates from the mainstream parties standing in the Senedd elections to take part in this Health Question Time – two from each of the following:
the Green Party, Plaid, Reform, Welsh Conservatives, Welsh Labour and Welsh Liberal Democrats. We are inviting listed candidates from each of these parties who are hoping to represent the new constituencies of Ceredigion Penfro and Gwynedd Maldwyn, (both of which are served by Bronglais Hospital).

Questions will be submitted in writing before the start of the meeting; questioners will be able to ask their own question which they submitted at the meeting. Supplementary questions from the audience will be encouraged.

There will be translation facilities and the meeting will be live-streamed.
