Wishing everyone a happy and safe Bank Holiday.
Our teams of Authorised Fi****ms Officers and police dogs continue to work 24/7 across the UK to deliver our Mission.
We're proud to protect this Bank Holiday weekend.
If you're out enjoying the (unusually sunny) Bank Holiday and see or hear anything that doesn't seem right - trust your instincts and report to:

It is better to be safe and report, even if you are not sure.
If you're near to any of our locations, our officers are always happy to stop for a chat to discuss any concerns you may have - no matter how small.

Our Force Chaplain, Ian Grainger, has been appointed an honorary Canon of Carlisle Cathedral, recognising more than three decades of ministry and chaplaincy service across Cumbria.
The appointment was made Rev Rob Saner-Haigh, the Bishop of Carlisle, and reflects Canon Grainger’s long-standing contribution to the Diocese.
Ordained in 1992, Cannon Grainger brings extensive experience across healthcare, emergency services and the military, including service as an Army Reserve chaplain and as lead chaplain to Cumbria Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service.
Since 2023, Canon Grainger has supported officers and staff across the CNC, providing confidential, independent pastoral support in what can be a high-pressure policing environment.
He said: “Becoming an honorary Canon is a real honour. Having grown up and served my entire ministry within this diocese, this recognition means a great deal to me.”
