We are commemorating VE Day today with some Homity Pie! This WWII recipe can often be found on our cafe menu and is as popular now as it was during wartime.

Catch them whilst you can! Today’s specials included freshly dressed crab and Cullen Skink. The garden overlooking Loch Ewe is the perfect spot for lunch and remember you can always add a local Ewebrew 🍺

Wish you were here? Well you could be. Take a look at our unique self catering with shepherd’s hut kitchen/dining room and boathouse bedroom, sitting room. With a vintage 40’s vibe, you will still find all mod cons and a wood burning stove for cooler days. The “Wren’s Nest” is so called after the 175 WRNS that served at Loch Ewe in WWII. Trying very hard to concentrate on baking cakes for the cafe tomorrow but can’t help being distracted by the view through the window. One of the big problems you face living in the North West Highlands. Looking forward to all the sympathetic comments. 😀🪟🌅🌊
