2025 Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Ralph, launched to three people on an 18ft yacht who were at risk of going aground, north of Sizewell beach.

In June 1982 Lifeboat James Cable was sent to Aldeburgh station, and was provided from funds raised from a special appeal launched in Aldeburgh together with other gifts and legacies

The Band of the Royal British Legion leading the parade for Mayor's Sunday earlier today. joined the march from Moot Hall to St Peter and St Paul's Church as part of the celebrations for Aldeburgh's new mayor.

1940 Lifeboats Lucy Lavers and Abdy Beauclerk were taken to Dunkirk by a naval crew and helped in the evacuation of Allied troops

1971 Lifeboat Alfred and Patience Gottwald gave help to yacht Jano

1977 Lifeboat Alfred and Patience Gottwald gave help to motor launch Caroline Louise of Portsmouth

1983 Lifeboat James Cable gave help to yacht Baltic of Belgium

2017 The inshore lifeboat was launched in the River Alde to assist 4 people cut off by the tide in the vicinity of Orfordness. The boat was stood down when it was confirmed they were no longer at risk.

2020 Inshore lifeboat, Susan Scott, launched to assist 2 people stranded in a 2m inflatable dingy on River Alde. Stood by until mud rescue team arrived from Felixstowe.

This evenings training involved both boats our Atlantic 85 Ralph and our D class Susan Scott. Both boats were launched into the sea.The D class went North to practice man overboard scenarios and the Atlantic 85 went South to practice navigation procedures. Lovely to see a good crowd on the beach.
