Yesterday’s results were deeply disappointing for us. We lost many valued colleagues, dedicated councillors, and hardworking candidates who have distinguished themselves in their communities. We thank them sincerely for everything they’ve contributed over the years.

We also want to thank every volunteer, campaigner, and supporter who contributed their time, energy, and belief to our cause. We’re incredibly grateful for your commitment and passion.

We congratulate Reform UK on its victory. It now faces the challenge of running a large, complex organisation across a significant geographic area, and we wish all the newly elected councillors well.

We will now take time to listen carefully and reflect. But we remain committed to the people of Lincolnshire and will work hard, but constructively, in opposition to holding the new administration accountable, championing local priorities, and standing up for the communities we care so deeply about.

This is not the end; it’s a new chapter.

Thankyou everyone who voted for me this election it has been a pleasure to serve you. Good luck and good wishes to my successor and I hope he will be able to carry on the good work for the coast and country particularly around the mental health support for our community and support for our natural environment which I championed whilst I was a councillor.
