A pair of swans, two cygnets, one grey, one white! A first for me.

Beautiful crispy crunchy walk by the river this morning. Still very squelchy west side by Litlington.

Hi, Just to let you know the White Bridge at Alfriston will be closed for about 3 weeks from 27th September. Diversions are in place.

I haven't walked to the sea for ages, thought I'd post a few photos.

There is so much water lying on the water meadows around Litlington and on down to the A259. I can't remember when it lay for so long.

It seems so strange walking by the river without cattle or sheep in the fields but at least it means the dog can run without being on a lead!

Frosty morning, mist rising from the water. Slipped over as I had compacted ice on the sole of my boots!

What a glorious day after the rain of yesterday. Took the dog down the side of the river from Alfriston then up the near vertical climb to High and Over, only stopping once to marvel at the sun glinting on the swollen river meandering down to the sea - aah such beauty on our doorstep! A gentle descent back to the river and returning along the eastern side of the river as it is still way to wet along the western path.

Only a sprinkling of snow, still very pretty

Water meadows back to grassy puddles - phew!

Just received a flood warning, river looking ok at the moment, still all the water meadows to fill.
