Rock Cricket Club are hosting a 24hr relay on 24th & 25th of May. This event will be a 24 hour relay around the cricket field boundary. We are looking for participants to take part and help us raise money by either running, walking or just taking a leisurely stroll around the field. We have posted a timetable in both the clubhouse and The Horseshoes at Rennington and would really like to see some volunteers sign up and help us out. The more we get the easier it will be for us all. We are starting the Rock Relay at 8pm on the 24th after our home game against Wooler. On Sunday 25th we are looking to have a game of cricket in the morning for the juniors, a game of rounders for everyone and a game of senior cricket in the afternoon, all the while our Relay participants will be lapping the field.. Whittingham C of E First School took advantage of Sport Relief by using Willowburn Sports And Leisure Centre for a day of cricket, football, bouldering wall, gymnastics and other small sided game activities

Congratulations to Alnwick Cricket Club for winning the North Northumberland indoor cricket finals held at Willowburn Sports And Leisure Centre

Last night saw the finals of the North Northumberland Indoor Cricket League. First of were Alnmouth and Lesbury Cricket Club against Rock CC in the 3rd v 4th place play off. Rock CC posted 95 and was never going to be enough as Alnmouth scored 186 to claim 3rd place. The final between Alnwick Cricket Club and Tillside CC was a lot closer, Alnwick posting 138 and in reply Tillside fell just short with 129.

Next Year's Sports Awards will be held at Alnwick Playhouse on Wednesday 26th February. We are currently seeking nominations in 13 categories, the easiest way to submit your nomination is by completing the survey monkey - link attached
