It's hard to put into words how grateful we are that you all showed up tonight, on a chilly Northumbrian Monday evening, to commemorate the Paleatinian journalists murdered by Israel last week: Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, Moamen Aliwa and Mohammed al-Khaldi.

We spoke about hope, and how it can be hard to have it, two years into this genocide. And we spoke about the duty that we have as human beings to keep going, and keep standing up for the Palestinians.

A small gathering of Northumbrians on a chilly Monday night won't change the world, but if each of us did something to help, it'd be everything. If you have fundraising ideas to help the families in Gaza, please get in touch. If you've been doing your own fundraising and would like a signal boost, we're only too happy to help. If you want to help but don't know where to start - welcome, let's figure it out. If you thing you're hopeless at organising things, you're not. The best way to learn is by doing.

Vigil on Alnmouth beach this coming Monday to commemorate Palestinians. Share your memories, thoughts and feelings, or just stand quietly with us. Bring flags, candles, handwritten placards and flowers.

Travel information: if you're driving, you can park in the carpark near the rowing club, right by the shore. By bus: coming from Newcastle, the X18 Arriva leaving at 1508 or 1613 will get you to Alnmouth village, atound 10 minutes on foot to the meeting point. Buses back to Newcastle are hourly until 2128.

We did it and we SMASHED our fundraising target! Donation link will still be open for a few days (QR code or link in the first slide).

Massive thanks to everyone who donated, we really appreciate it. Our tired Northumbrian is having a little rest now but the struggle continues. We'll keep on advocating and fundraising for Palestine.
