Alsager Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Councillor Chris Venables as Deputy Mayor.

Cllr Venables has long been a dedicated and hardworking member of the Council, and this appointment reflects his commitment to serving the community of Alsager.

In particular, Chris has built a strong and effective working relationship with the police, helping to support local initiatives and improve communication around community safety. His proactive approach and willingness to collaborate make a real difference to residents.

We look forward to supporting him in his new role and are confident he will continue to serve Alsager with energy and dedication.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-

Sandbach Road South, Alsager Ward, Alsager, from the junction of Fields Lane to Level Crossing

It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): 2 June 2026 ( Night Works )

This notice will become operative on 2 June 2026 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
