Alton Air Cadets - 613 Squadron

On Saturday some of cadets enjoyed what we consider the most relaxing activity cadets can do: Archery 🏹 making sure they had plenty of shade, sun cream and fluids, the cadets gained some amazing scoring. Our thanks to F/Sgt Curtis from 2412 (Bordon) Sqn for instructing and of course Eggers School for use of the fields.

Two groups competed head to head to decipher instructions and then set about building an aircraft with their 5 allocated STEM kits; these are a fabulous teaching aid we have access to at Air Cadets.

Clay pigeon shooting for 613 and 1927

Recently cadets from both 613 Alton squadron and 1927 Petersfield squadron were invited to RAF Odiham to partake in some clay pigeon shooting. With the weather in our favour the squadrons were split up and each person given 25 shots with the task of hitting as many clay pigeons as possible, with the shots differing from each other in direction and difficulty it added to the challenge and competition between the two squadrons....
