🤩 Bollin Health & Wellness Week 2025 🤩
We have launched an amazing week for the children. Aimed to encourage them to be active and think about their physical and mental wellbeing.
Today children participated in workshops provided by Skip2bfit and also played cricket!!
Our children are all counting their steps and asking for sponsorship to raise money for a new sports pitch!

World Book Day 2025
Today we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up
as our favourite characters or words and sharing
books in school. The children looked fantastic and it
was so lovely to see that there was such a passion for
books and all things reading. Days such as these are
the ones that our children will remember in years to
come and I am so pleased that they have had such a
wonderful day. Thank you to all of the staff who have
also dressed up today and joined in with the
festivities!

What a treat for our Year 5 and 6 today! .killick.56 came into talk to us about how she became an author and her (often terrifying) inspiration! She even went for a cuddle with our chickens. Children and adults loved every minute! Thank you, Jennifer and - you could still feel the buzz in school at home time!

At the heart of our approach to Early Reading is our Phonics Scheme, Little Wandle. 92% of our Year 1 children passed the statutory Phonics check last year but more than that - they love Reading! Through regular sessions with an adult, Bollin children are taught more than the mechanics of Reading and instead are set up with a deep and abiding love of the written word.
