All these charities in 2026 have been a big part in our Committees lives. It would be great to raise a huge amount for them as they touch so many of our lives.

Atherstone Market Square parking of tractors - 8pm ish - approx. 12 tractors

After our very successful Tractor Runs with such amazing support from all the local communities, we are continuing with the 2 nights. (Friday 11th December and Saturday 12th December) This means we are able to spread the Christmas cheer to as many people as possible with both routes.

ROUTES AND TIMINGS MAY HAVE CHANGED SLIGHLY. Please check out our routes in order to plan your best and safest viewing spot. We sincerely hope you enjoy our dressed up tractors and would gracefully accept any donations to help us meet our target on

Message I received from
Adam Skelsey . Warwickshire Police SNT, Sergeant, North Warwickshire.
To remind you about keeping safe during the winter dark nights.

It's that time of year again!

Dear Susan Shannon
It's that time of year again. At 2 am Sunday morning the clocks go back, and we get an extra hour's sleep!

As the nights draw in, we typically see a spike in burglary so it's a good time to protect your home and belongings against opportunist burglars and thieves.

Protect your home against opportunist burglars by remembering to 'lock up' and check on your neighbours.

Dark evenings can provide perfect cover for burglars who can easily spot an open window in an unoccupied room, see your valuables through open curtains or blinds, or try their luck with an unlocked door while you are distracted by fireworks.

Here are some crime prevention tips to help keep your property safe:

1. Try to make your house look as occupied as possible when you are not there.

2. Do not leave your house and vehicle keys in the lock or on a side table in view of a window.

3. Do not leave items in open porches that could be used to enter your home, for example, curved-handled umbrellas to open doors or keys through letterboxes

4. Always lock your windows and doors when you are in. If you have UPVC front doors take extra care to lock these as soon as you get into your property.

5. Check your UPVC or Euro cylinder door lock to see if it is snap resistant. It should be stamped with a three-star Kite Mark. If it is not, you get the lock changed to either a SS312 Diamond Approved Cylinder, TS007 3 Star Kitemarked Cylinder, or a 1 Star Cylinder with 2 Star handle for maximum protection. For more information contact the Master Locksmiths
Association, https://www.locksmiths.co.uk/faq/lock-snapping/

or read this guide. https://www.pcwemail.co.uk/?_task=mail&_mbox=INBOX

6. Cancel newspapers and milk if you are going away for a few days and ask a trusted friend or neighbour to keep an eye on your property. They can help by pushing post sticking out of the letterbox inside fully or checking garden gates are shut.

Have safe and warm winter. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Your community is here. ❤️

EXTRA DEFIBULATOR

A father of one of the boys who plays football at HillTop Football field has managed to get a Defibulator to be fitted at the field on the fence of the Pavillion.
It should be fitted soon and will be a great assert to help keep our community safe.
The Parish Council would like to the gentleman responsible for sorting this resource for the village community.
We look forward to working more closely with residents and opening dialogues and developing positive relationships for the benefit of the whole community.

FIGHT AGAINST FLY TRIPPING
I thought this might be useful to help the village counter act fly tipping.
I’m also trying to arrange for our local PC representative to come to some meeting to discuss issues we have and see how that can help. Please be kind when they come.

Today was glorious and perfect for gardening. Karen Garland and I were delighted to be able to clear out the planters around the village, and freshen them up. We met so many of you today, chatting and enjoying the sun is our favourite pastime.
We have to commend the residents of Spring Hill and Gun Hill who kept the planters watered during the very hot summer. Someone even added new plants. Thanks also to Karina, new to APC, who came out to help on Gun Hill.
I love the photo of me with the gorgeous Michael and Mavis. Such a great day made better by our brilliant neighbours.
