There are reasons why we teach keeping low if you’re in a smoke filled premises and are evacuating. Whilst we couldn’t advise going through this room (as it’s completely unsafe and extremely dangerous) this video clearly demonstrates some of those reasons.

Our Station Commander and one of our Watch Commanders represented Woodgate Valley at Simons funeral today.
It was an emotional day, with many colleagues attending to pay their respects to a man who was dearly loved and well respected amongst our fire family within West Midlands Fire Service.
The funeral of Station Manager Simon Wheatley is being held today.
Our thoughts and sympathies remain with Simon’s family, and all who knew and loved him.
Union Flags at our sites will be at half-mast.
