Why do Zebras have stripes?

This half term our Reception children will be looking at African wildlife animals and where they live. We will also look closely at patterns of the animals and understand why some may camouflage. To begin our topic, we began to look at African culture and explore the lives of people who live in Africa. To support this, we created African necklaces using dried, painted pasta pieces and also visited our forest school to collect mud to mix with water when making mud cloth patterns. Towards the end of the half-term we will be looking forward to our African meal as part of our topic finale.

"We went to the Snowdome Winter Wonderland to explore and play in real snow. We went sledging, made snowballs and had lots of fun. "
