Talking Faith. Making Friends. Changing Lives

The Feast work through school-based youth workers to develop trusting relationships with local young people, and then invite them to regular youth events where they can discuss their faith, form friendships and then set about joining forces to make their world a better place. We are working to see young people who are passionate about their faith, and learning to love their neighbour even when real differences exist.

This is the last day of the holiday programme in the West Midlands and my social media takeover😭😭😭. We visited Aston Hall. This was a pretty interesting visit especially learning about the ghost theories. We did some fun activities like filling in the answers throughout our tour.

For our interfaith dialogue exercise we talked about how we wanted to be remembered in the future. I believe it’s quite important as it helps us understand how we want our legacies to continue.

Overall I believe we all had an amazing time (even made some daisy chains at lunch). See u guys next time.
This is Chitu signing out!!! 🍨🌸🍨🌸🍨🌸🍨

Hello this is Chittu!!!

Today is day three of the takeover

Today we were decorating tin cans to garden some sunflowers.

This week the theme for dialogue was understanding yourself. Today we did posters to answer questions for the future.

Finally we did some mood boards for self encouragement and the future.

Tomorrow is the final day of my takeover. See you then!!!!

Hello again my name is Chitu and as you know I am taking over the the feast's socials this half term. Today we went to Hollywood Broadway Bowling Center. I was pretty surprised on how decent I am at bowling I even got a strike. After a refreshing drink and food to energise ourselves we did some dialogue, playing The Feast's Peacemakers and Disrupters game. Even better was that we were given £3 each to play in the arcade. We played a ball game (that I don't really know the name of) but it was acctually so funny when watching other play. Surprisingly we also had ice-cream today too! 🌞🌞🌞

A stunning location and a great privilege for The Feast’s National Director, Jill, to be asked to talk about Youth-led Cohesion, as part of the National Cathedral Conference.

In the last week our team of runners legs have been returning to normality and they have been reflecting on their experience of running in the Great Birmingham Run for The Feast.

Hakk Ozal, Regional Director from the Dialogue Society shares:

"My legs definitely needed a bit of recovery! It was a really special experience for me, especially as it was my first ever 10K. I was very happy with the result, but more importantly, I felt proud to be running for The Feast and supporting such meaningful work. The atmosphere was fantastic. The support along the route really helped, and being part of a wider team running for a shared purpose made it even more meaningful"

We are exceptionally grateful to all of the running team, THANK YOU to Bishop Michael, Martin Bull, Andrew Smith and Josh Smith.

You can make their efforts count, help us with one last push to get our fundraising target over the line. We look forward to sharing the final total raised with you all next week. 😀

After doing the very British thing of standing excitedly in a queue our National Director and her daughter reached the gates of Buckingham Palace to attend a Garden Party in recognition and appreciation of The Feast’s community work. Enjoy Jill Appleton you deserve it!
