councillors leading on road safety in Birmingham: Successful LibDem Road Safety Motion pushed Council into long awaited action. The day after submission of the LibDem Motion, successfully approved by the full Council this week, the wheels finally started moving towards real action, unduly delayed since December 2022. This is a yet another example of how Birmingham Liberal Democrats despite not being a majority, are truly delivering to make Birmingham work for the people. Picture shows our LibDem group supporting the recent cross-party anti racism & hate speech initiative, during September Council Meeting.

Reminder the Mobile Household Waste Centre (MHWC) will be in Cannon Hill Park tomorrow.
*Wed 11 June, 7.45am - 12.45, Cannon Hill Park car park (coach area),
Recycling and Garden Waste can be taken to the MHWC but will be sent to the incinerator.
If possible please take recycling and garden waste to one of the Household Recycling Centres at Lifford Lane or Tyseley.
Do not take fridges, building materials, paint or rubble to the MHWC.

Thurs 5th June 745am-1245pm, 7.30am-1pm, Guru Nanak Gurdwara car park, Sparkhill, B11 4JP
Fri 6th June 745am-1245pm, 7.30am-1pm, Car Park (Handsworth Park), Handsworth, B20 2BZ
Sat 7th June 930am-215pm, Fox Hollies Leisure Centre car park, Acocks Green, B27 7NS
Sun 8th June 930am-215pm, Shops car park (Heath Way), Shard End, B34 6QU

Sun 1 June 9.30am - 2.30pm, Birmingham Central Mosque, Bordesley & Highgate, B12 0XS
They will take all household waste, recycling and garden waste but please note it will all be sent to the incinerator. If you want your recycling and garden waste to be recycled/composted and you have transport try to get a slot at one of the household recycling centres.

It's the Great Birmingham Run this Sunday, with the route going through Cannon Hill Park. There will be road closures for motor traffic in place in Edgbaston Road, by the cricket ground, Priory Road and Pershore Road.
